So when is Ravager, Fury, and Seventh Legion going to get the hammer?

Just throwing this out there because we've had a significant nerf to a dps classes main defense without any increases to its offense which is already lackluster, with the "vague promise" of some distant future adjusting. Meanwhile heavy armor can stroll around in sets like these and achieve higher stats than any glass cannon. Are we keeping quiet on these sets for some reason?

"When you're in an Elder Scrolls game, you're in a world. We don't want players to hit monetization fees when they're in the world. It's like, I go into a dungeon, if I don't have access to the dungeon it pops up a window: you don't have access to this, go buy 50 credits. We didn't want that experience. That's not an Elder Scrolls experience." - Matt Firor

Ravager should definitely be medium armor. Veiled Heritance also. Armor of Truth also. Currently, medium has 2 item sets that proc weapon damage: Briarheart and Senche/Air.

Seventh and Fury... They do require you to take damage in order to proc and medium is all about avoiding that, so they should stay Heavy, but they definitely need a nerf in the amount of Weapon Damage they give.

They shall be nerfed on the day when nerfing a set makes a cryhard a better player. When nerfing a viable build makes a rpbuild viable. and when nerfing the "meta" makes a newb superior to an experienced player.
Hopefully that nerf will still be "battlespirit only".

I'm confused. Did all the heavy armor sets that contain boosts to magicka-based characters become deleted or uncraftable when the patch dropped?

Show me one magicka heavy armor set that gives over 600 spell damage (not counting clever alchemist as it's crafted).
Seventh, ravager and fury need nerfs, period.

    @Mayrael

While it's always good to keep an eye on different sets and adjust when needed, the balancing factors for these is that they significantly hurt your mobility compared to medium armor options, you need to get hit/deal damage on a low proc continually to get the benefit of the set, and it's much harder to sustain while wearing them. Swift just got the nerf so mobility will be down dramatically making that an actual tradeoff. Sustain is an issue with these sets period. You can run rings around these people in a magicka build and do some range kiting to come out victorious.

    Do they also come with:

Reduces the Magicka cost of spells by 10%
    Increases Magicka Recovery by 20%
Increases your Spell Resistance by [x] for each piece of Light ArmorHeavy armor equipped.
Increases your Spell Critical rating by 2191.
Increases your Spell Penetration by 4884.

??? Because that's everything you lose by not wearing 5 light.

you want light yet u want heavy. Make your mind already.

Yeah, kinda what I was thinking... lol. I don’t care about competitive gaming, though, so I don’t have a horse in this race. Every play style has its tradeoffs. You competitive types freak out about “balance” and I freak out about dwemer frame drop rates... haha.

The solution to nerfmire is not more nerfs.

Problem with nerfmire is it nerfed the wrong things lol.

Agreed. Those 3 sets are the holy trinity of the heavy armor meta-problem
    Altmer Sorceror, magicka
    Bosmer Nightblade, stamina.
    Imperial Templar, stamina
    Redguard Warden, stamina

You know Stam has to give up some things as well to use these sets as heavy armor. Fury is just the wrath passive plus what 200 wep damage? Ravanger is great for stamplar in most other classes it would be very low on the proc rate. Seventh legion is also just above hundings like dang. Didn't y'all just get spell strategist.

    -Extinguisher of Flames-
    -Gryphon Heart-

If I edited a post, it was for spelling. It is always because of spelling....

    1. Sustain? With 30k ressistances and seventh healing you can use deep thoughts without worrying you will die, it also grants you major protection while channeled (passives) and heals you. No sustain issues.
    2. Lower mobility? Maybe when sprinting and only when compared to medium, while light is left with nothing. No speed boost, no snare root removal, no snare root immunity (except of mist form and being forced to become vampire). Heavy stamina has superior mobility to any magicka user.
    3. Sets force you to being hit? Like that would matter. Maybe when you zerg surf these sets are bad but in any other scenario EVERYONE is being hit, especially LA users who can't dodge more than 3 times. When light armor user meets fury, seventh, balrogh user he gets hit as often as that HA user, but has lower damage, lower resistance, lower mobility. The only thing he has is sustain which won't help him to survive against 3k bleed crits.
I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

More of a testament on how mediocre heavy armor passives are compared to light. But nevermind the loss of passives that medium would give.

medium armor has god tier passives to be honest. In my opinion the lack of max hp is whats making medium so squishy, why I solved by itemization. The result? 5k+ weapon damage with super high uptime, 2k stam regen and resistances-hp equal to a 5-1-1 heavy armor setup. Although I sacrificed a bit of max stamina, Its not really that big of a problem.

Well guess what now light armor gets a set that adds 500 spell damage with 100% uptime to your target, plus two more spell damage bonuses which is arguably stronger than any heavy armor set so now you don’t have to whine anymore.
