Dremora Swords and Chests only from trials?

Not very fair for low level players not yet ready to face trials. Also not fair as they will be expensive at guild traders. Should have left it away from trials seeing as trials are classed as end game content. Change this.

I'm also wondering about arena bosses, having characters in the lower thirties I'm not sure I can tackle those.

They drop in normal trials too. Normal trials are even easier than vet DLC 4 man dungeons. People pug nHRC, nCR every day so they're not gonna be that expensive.
PS: same with arena last boss. They drop in normal MA and DSA too.

New players should not be allowed to get good and new things. Level, struggle, grind etc.

what's "fair?" if every slot of motif was available everywhere people would still just complain about the RNG.

maybe it's fair that the people willing to tackle more-involved content get a shot at the more desirable motif slots.

there's an XP boost with the event. if you really want you can have all your skills and attribute points by the time it's over. or just buy/trade for it.

Normal trials are easy, you can do them on a lvl 10 toon xD also just ask around if a guild could take you along or so.

a level 10 toon with 780 champ points yeah. not a legit level 10 toon with no CP alts.

Actually, I've had guildies join normal trial runs as fresh level 20s with no CP. The Craglorn ones aren't bad as long as you don't do something potentially silly like trying to use an ice staff when you aren't the tank.

Many of the boss fights in those early normal trials can be accomplished with stack and burn. Just pay attention to instructions and don't off everyone by overlapping Starfall or spreading chain lightning.

@Chrysa1is Those are the only two. People will be running groups for them and giving away motif pages just to make room by the end of the event.

You can farm something else (that they don't want to do) and trade, which is half the point behind the design. I assure you there are people that don't want to farm dolmens, WB's, or BG's that will happily trade trials/arena drops for those other events.

Same as above, there will be groups doing repeat runs as a public service, groups more than capable of carrying better than half those that join at low level or minimal experience.

I know for a fact nMA is doable at level 6, with mismatched dropped gear, with zero CP's.

I think you're overestimating the difficulty factor of normal content. Join a group for one an you'll be delightfully surprised (or disappointed, depending on your view.) People pug nTrials all day long.

These pages will be more than available at no or reasonable cost a few days in. They always are.

No, it's pretty much spelled out in the linked article if you read far enough. No consensus required.

I mean that also means if you farm 7 dremora skulls a day you have all the motives within 2 days. Those motives will most likely given away for free after a week.

Thankfully I am already a Grand Master, I have moved passed the want to collect motifs. ZOS has made it such an unbearable slog over time, I no longer get excited for new motifs.

Good luck scouring traders for these chapters which will be very limited in the community, and if sold at all will be ridiculous prices.

These aren't going to be obtained enough to drop in price in a few weeks like some people here believe. The more common ones absolutely will - but the ones from Trials and Arenas? Those will remain rare, therefore coveted, therefore expensive.

If the recent Monster Style pages from dungeons are any indicator, rarity will mean they retain their value through and through.

I don't think so. According to the event page a Dremora motif page is guaranteed in each Dremora plunder skull.

A Dremora Plunder Skull contains all the same items found in a regular Plunder Skull, but it is also guaranteed to have a new Dremora Motif page based on the type of boss you defeated.

Hence you only need to run 2 trials (in the best case scenario) to get your 2 pages from trials. Same with the other pages (so in the best case scenario you only need to grind those 7 dremora plunder skulls for 2 days). The traders will be swamped by these motives. They are the easiest farm in the history of ESO.

normal Maelstrom can be done easily below lvl 10....

Low level players should be focusing on grinding first. They don't deserve to have the motifs from arena and trial bosses yet. If they do manage to get those motifs as low levels then well done to them, but any low level who can't acquire them then they don't deserve them. Keep grinding and maybe next year they will be good enough.

You realise that this is an event and not endgame content right? Event content should be accessible to everyone and with normal trials and arenas included it is accessible to all players of all skill sets.

Don't underestimate the ease of normal-mode content.

Back in the day, I would use nMA as a solo grind spot to level characters.

When I first started playing on EU, I did nMA. I was about level 12. Had no CP at all. And was wearing a hodge-podge of random gear that I had picked up--didn't have any complete sets and I was even putting on gear that I found in each stage of nMA because it was blue and at my current level instead of the white and green gear that were levels below me.

On topic: running 2 or 3 normal trials over the course of 2 weeks is well within the reach of even the most casual player. Join one of the farming groups that will inevitably form in craglorn, get hard carried through a normal trial. Maelstrom is easily doable on a fresh, no CP toon in early levels, too--you might need to pick up some crafted gear first and eat some food, and some classes will have it easier than others (mainly due to availability of self-heals at a low level).

Wow, after reading your comment, I am going to make sure to bring 4 people (low-levels) with me from our guild to participate in the trials everyday during the event. So they can have fun and everyone can get the swag. We will carry them, teaching the mechanics, making it an enjoyable event for everyone in our guild. I hope others will do the same. Have a wonderful event.

These events should lower the toxicity, not raise it.

I'm in the same spot; bored to tears with the motif grind. The Dremora motif seems like easy pickings though so I'll probably farm it just for grins whilst hoovering up the xp and festive twigs.

Events that are closed off to only a select portion of the playerbase is never a good idea, no matter how anyone tries to justify it. I've seen many games do it and crumble. While I dona't think this will result in that, if it continues its the wrong path to take and will over time.

Okay so you can use an ice staff while not being a tank... just don't use the passive associated in the destruction staff and you will be good. So many people make that comment without actually knowing what they are talking about. Check the skills out and you can learn some interesting things.
