    Hi all :)

We have seen requests from our players to have the option to hide specific equipment slot visuals, and it is something we'd like to offer in the future.

From this post on the same topic in September

I think crown store outfits will hide your shoulders as needed. I could be wrong. Basing this on people dressed up like they’re in modern night club atire running around. Assumed they got those outfits from the crown store.

They do, but the OP is correct. There is no reason why we can't hid the shoulders.

To a point you can using small shoulder pieces in the Outfit system, but you should be able to fully remove them.

That being said I don't think you should be able to hide all pieces, cause you know, specially in Cyrodil, you would have armies of naked jumping space bar bunnies everything. I think you should be limited to hiding maybe 4 pieces, maybe maybe 5. I'd love to have a 2 Hand DK that doesn't have a Chest Piece showing but like a 1 side shoulder graphic or something one day.

Yes please, and hidden weapons. Huge zergs of nearly naked fisticuffs. I would love to participate in that.

    Darkfall's original launch was this.

With unrestricted pvp, full looting and no player wipe coming out of beta, the game was full of skilled up and well equipped gankers blicking all the new players and taking everything.

So nearly everyone ran around totally naked most of the time. Maybe carrying just 1 weapon.

It would be nice to at least hide shoulders and belts along with helmets but yes, going fully in the buff would be awesome!

If YOUR elbows connect to your shoulders then you've got some serious issues with your arms

    As I once said:
The most reasonable thing we can expect...
...is for them to sell "invisible armor" motiv pages in the crown store.

I mean, the suits in charge certainly won't send a code-jockey to spend their paid time programming the hide function for all outfit slots without wanting to see some profit, right?

But selling people the option... that would appeal to their shriveled greedy little hearts, right? :p;)

As for the lore... well, I already said it. "Invisible Armor". Enchanting your sturdy armor with an invisibility spell, to lure your foe into a false sense of security...
I mean, look at this guy:
    Sai_Sahan.png

Yeah, but I don't think that guy is wearing invisible armor. Sai is just so good with a blade he doesn't need chest protection.
That is what he -wants- you to think! :p;)

I still vote for the invisible cuirass, not in the least because those pauldrons are probably not just glued onto his shoulders, but affixed to something, right? ;)

...and don't I wish they would do something about this... like maybe:
...split costumes into "combat costumes" and "non-combat costumes" like the bathers towel, latter of which would either unequip at getting hit like disguises...
...or even better, have all costumes have an "armor weight", like "none/light/medium/heavy" and lower your effective armor protection to those levels while equipped... (so if you wear heavy armor and a "light" costume, you get light armor protection only; if you wear medium armor and a "none" costume, you get no armor protection at all, etc. Also, it would make costume organization easier if they were split in three tabs...)
    But alas...

You can hide your shoulders! Here's how:

Crouch until your sneak eye is closed.
Tada! Your shoulders are hidden .... along with the rest of your body. o:)
