When does Alcast update his builds?

Hello. Alcast has been by far the most helpful resource to me when it comes to learning this game, and I still rely on his builds very much as they give me a goal to shoot for.

I am currently following his Magicka Templar PvP Healer build, the Ritualist: https://alcasthq.com/eso-magicka-templar-heal-build-pvp/

I was wondering, when does he update builds? On the official release of Murkmire, or if there were changes would they be made already?

I ask this question because I want to upgrade some gear pieces to legendary, and I want to make sure those gear pieces won't be switched out again. I'm also curious about whether or not his ability section will remain the same with the changes to Rune Focus.

So if you can explain when/if that build will be updated, or offer your own input on whether or not Restoring Focus will be the go-to post-patch, I will appreciate you a great deal!

I guess every 3 months, when new update comes out.

It would be silly to update the builds before the patches go live as they could be changed before they do. I know he usually updates them around the time the patches go live. Might take a couple days to get them all updated.

With all due respect, Alcast's builds are mostly just a rehash of the currently absurdly op item sets. Just check the test server forums.

he also does not put correct stuff there, one of his dk builds has more cp points than u can uses

Hey and thanks I usually start updating builds 2 weeks before the official release and put a BETA tag on the list so you know that there still might be some small changes. The reason why I start 2 weeks before is, ZOs usually only does bugfixes after PTS Week 3 or 4 and therefore most of the times its save to start updating the builds.

I do this so people can already take a look before the official launch, once it launched and I double checked that no changes happened I remove the BETA tag and then you can be sure the build is ready.


This time around, I do have exams at the end of October, therefore I will most likely not be able to update all builds till murkmire launch, I am prioritizing the most popular ones.

If you are on my partner discord server you can also find a channel "new-builds-murkmire" I put all the updated builds there so its pretty easy to spot which are already ready to go.

If you find bugs, highly possible with 45+ builds on the website, please report it via the discord in the feedback channel

Yes, they are meta builds, if you are looking for non-meta builds I recommend checking out my Sheogorath's Corner Builds with themed builds more for fun and entertainment rather then to maximize dps

Alcast, please use more BoE sets in your builds. Always good money in farming and selling "meta" gear

Honestly, the builds are good. But in all honesty I have came up w some better onez people even told me this.

I found it hilarious.
