When the game is in maintenance

So i have recently started playing a free to play game from steam, and enjoying it by all accounts, today is the first time ive encountered maintenance on this game, and have to say its quite a refreshing feeling seeing where maintenance is actually upto in terms of how long its taking.
So they give you a start time and endtime(rough estimate) the other thing they give is a % slider that moves up as maintenance progresses, so if it does go over, like it has today you can see where there up to, i suppose it stops, to some degree, the "How long is maintenancegoing to take" posts on there forum.
Would be cool if ZoS could implement something like this on the landing screen of the game when ESO is in maintenance.

✭✭✭✭✭If it's possible it would be nice to give that information. But I'm not sure how much of it is routine processes where they can tell us how long it'll take to run and how much is a matter of looking at what needs doing and figuring it out as they go along. And I'm not sure how well it would go if the time to completion went up or the percentage completed went down because they found an additional task needed doing.
Having said that maintenance isn't a big deal, even when it always seemed to happen on Monday morning my time, which is usually my day off, it was only a minor annoyance. Extremely jarring after years of Guild Wars 1 and 2 being my only online games because I'm completely forgotten that most games went offline for maintenance, but it was just a matter of doing something else (like playing GW2) until the servers came back online.PC EU player. | PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

johnbonne✭✭✭Progress bars are great when they're consistent (or shoot up), but if the bar is stuck I'd bet my buttocks to a barn dance that the forums would be filled with threads asking why the bar is stuck, even to the point of fury. No point showing me a bar if I don't know what it's doing to help my experience in the game, because then it's just something to look at and the technicians to have to interrupt their work and tick boxes on the launcher.
