Swamp Jelly parts seem to have a low % drop

I'm really hoping ZOS makes the Swamp Jelly Dailies available after Murkmire releases and they don't end when it comes out To be quite frank I have been doing these quests, 6 a day, since they first became available and literally haven't obtained a single Jelly Part. I know, I know RNG - but don't you think it's kinda not smart to tie RNG to this with such a limited time? At this rate I will be lucky to get half the parts needed before Murkmire drops and then what? All that will be for nothing?

I honestly feel you should have been guaranteed atleast 1 Jelly part a day on your account because this seems well... lame. Why even keep bothering doing these mundane, poorly designed fetch quests when there's a high likelihood I won't even get the parts? I know we can't have everything handed on a silver platter, but come on if you are trying to build hype I don't think a bunch of generally detested quests with horrible drop rate RNG rewards was the best way to do it....

Probably gonna end up having to spend disgusting amounts of gold at traders to have any hope... There's still time to farm, a decent chunk of time in fact, but if the current rate is anything to go by, time won't win this one.

When Murkmire drops, do these quests go away? Will they ever come back, or is this the only chance to get the drops?

Like Acrolas said above, Gina confirmed the dailies will still be available once Murkmire drops. So, like with any other runebox pieces, the hype is big right now but eventually you'll see those parts come down to 10k in traders. It will be a while before they're that low, but you can keep doing the dailies and collecting/trading parts yourself in the meantime.

It's really just RNG, sadly. I've done the six quests daily on my main toon since they were released last week and I've collected six parts total, so basically one a day. Of those six only one was a duplicate and I was able to trade that in zone chat. So right now I only need one more piece to make the pet, and all I've done is just the six quests on one toon each day plus trading my only duplicate. I didn't realize apparently this is good RNG until I saw so many people on the forums saying they're not getting anything.

RNG goes both ways, that's what makes it random.

I've gotten 7 parts since I started doing, including 2 duplicates.

I have done it on multiple toons every day since release. I just finished 36 of the murkmire dailies today and not a single pet part drop. I hate the RNG implementation of this game.

I've got one. Doesn't feel worth the aggravation. I don't feel like doing this three times a day for nothing.

That is a huge relief, thank you for easing my mind. It fills me with joy knowing I don't have to spend the next 2 weeks doing these on 8 alts to have a chance.

Iv done 6 a day got 1 a day sometimes two I have had three duplicates which Iv sold at guild traders and bought last two with money I made of one of the sales. I have the pet and in the money lol

I've obtained 3 and 1 duplicate which I generously sold to someone. I do them everyday on one character at least.

Time is money. You can farm 40K gold in an hour, each piece is priced at about an hour's work.

Farm for gold, then buy the pieces. Or do the quests. Or any combination of the above.

I've gotten four drops in 5 days of running the dailies however it is really two pairs as I received seconds of items I already had. I'm keeping an eye out for trades and am contemplating burnt offerings to RNGesus. I wouldn't mind the RNG as much if an item was removed once you had obtained it. Maybe replace it in the loot table with a housing or equipment item. Getting dup's just seems like rubbing your nose in your less than good luck.

I know how you feel. I'd done 20 of them and only gotten one drop.
I did 12 more today, and managed to get a second drop.
Not sure how long I want to do these, seeing as it's possible to get no drops at all. I feel lucky to even have two right now.

Basically, I want to farm these until I get maybe two more, then I'll say "heck with it" and just buy the remaining pieces I don't have yet. There's no way I'm going to waste my time farming all seven pieces.

I have a total of 3 pieces of the Summerset rune boxes. And no I'm not going to do these silly Murkmire dailies because my lag means competing with other players for nodes will be a complete frustration. It's bad enough at times in Archon's Grove.

We just got the dailies and because you don't have the pet in the first hour you complain the drop rate is too low? I fear for the future of MMO's with people like you and the 'hand it to me now' generation, i really do.

There is plenty to complain about regarding these dailies, refer to my post about this here on the forums.

However, the rewards are actually both nice and have a fair dropchance. The Murkmire furniture is very nice, and has a pretty high dropchance. You can easily buy lots of it from guild traders, which I did.
The jelly parts are also all over guild traders, prices are already down to under 20k per piece on my server, and it will drop even lower in the coming days. I also do the 6 dailies on 1 char per day, and I get 1 piece from the collectible every day. I sold a duplicate so now I only need 2 more pieces.
You cannot call that a bad droprate, not by any stretch. For once, ZOS seems to have found the balance regarding droprates. It doesn't drop so often as to be trash, and it's not rare unicorn either. It's very feasible to collect all 7 pieces within a week, and maybe have to buy or trade 1 or 2 parts. That's very decent.

Sell the ones you are lucky to get, and buy them back in half a year or something for 30% of the price. Or maybe you really want the pet

I seem to get 1 per 6-8 dailies, and try to sell them right away. It's been a real boon even though I've only been doing 1-2 characters a day.

I have been getting duplicate pieces but I've been trading them with other players who also received other duplicates. I just keep an eye on the zone chat to see if someone is looking to trade. I have 5 pieces so far, only 2 more to go!

I have been doing the daily's on 1-2 character a day too.

1 character a day, six quests. Have got 4 pieces over 5 days. Farming nirn would be faster but a heck of lot more boring.

Got one piece each day except for one day so far. I'm only doing it on one character, so the drop chance isn't too terrible I guess.

Since the "quests" are really annoying, I'll probably end up just buying the pieces.

I've gotten 6 pieces over 8 days, 1 of them duplicates, 48 quests in total. So a drop rate of 12.5% which is quite good compared to other such grinds in this game. I've sold what other drops I've gotten since I don't have time to furnish houses, and it's generally a good time to sell those furnishings to people trying to get something in the free Psijic Villa. The price for rune box pieces is 25-28K on EU-PC and you can find plenty of people in zone chat doing WTT so probably everyone would have their box in a few weeks. After that the prices will drop to maybe ~15K. Ex. Big Ear Kitten box fragments still trade for ~13K even after 5 months, but I expect jelly fragments to go lower than that, maybe 7-10K, in a few months since it's not such a relatable, thus desirable animal

I am only doing 3 quests per day and have 6 pieces already with 1 duplicate. Drop rate seems decent to me.
