Hello I have a question to dangerous to experiment on by myself.
Q: If I loot a Material Node, but don't take everything it offers (For example, I take the Deni Rune, but Leave the Ta Rune, or leave the Insect Parts but take the Butterfly Wing) will that resource node stick around and possibly be half-empty when another player comes by to loot it? Does this apply to chests?
I always "Take All" just in case but my inventory is limited and I'm wondering if I can get away with taking less without hurting anyone. Please help me help us.

When you fully loot you see the node/chest disappear. When you don't fully loot that node/chest hangs around.

This is a lie. This is not how it works at all. It's been confirmed by the devs multiple times that the respawn timer starts as soon as a node or chest is opened not as soon as it is emptied.Yes you'll be leaving junk behind and the node won't respawn until someone takes it

Thank you everyone except for arrogant @RexyCat for the replies, you have all put me at ease.
In case I was not clear, I always take everything! I never leave anything behind anyway, and I will continue to do so now that I know there's actually a good reason to do so. Thank you!

thank you. (yes nodes do respawn eventually, but they take much longer to respawn when you don't loot them fully)
oh and you can always just add unwanted stuff you looted to junk tab and periodically delete that whole tab. it will help to reduce trips to merchant/bank

10 minutes is a long time to assume that no one will come by and get stuck with the trash you left behind. Some people are okay with trash. Other people get really annoyed by it.
So if you want to be courteous to others, #TakeAll
