The hot mess that has been the mammoth meat quest reminds me of the horrible way you become infected from a vampire or werewolf. There are many vampire and werewolves enemies on ESO but yet you can only get infected from certain ones on a in certain zones on certain day the week and a certain time of day. The day and time of week are still (in 2018) shrouded in mystery for some players. Let's say that you actually manage to be in the right place on the right time on the right day then you only have to contend with about 50 other players attempting to get infected or worse killing the enemy to stop free infections after which, they then charge stupid amounts of money to spread the infection. After Wolfhunter launched I saw werewolf bites being sold for 50k in zone for example. Yes I know that a current werewolf or vampire can has the passive to change someone once a week, but that is a weak cop-out to a flawed design. Buying it from the crown store is so silly, that to me, this option doesn’t exist. I propose two alternatives. the first would be to make every werewolf and vampire enemy have a (realistic) chance to infect someone. It doesn’t have to be 100%. The second would be to retain the “once every X number of days” formula where these infections enemies spawn but make the encounter area instanced. That way, even though players have to wait a certain period to get that infection they can be assured that after doing so they can have their reward. That way they wouldn’t have to desperately spam guild or zone chat with “lf ww/vamp bite”
