Quality over Quantity (Mirkmire Daily)

I just tried the new mirk daily. Damn, ZOS thinks we're all fat or something, the amount of leg work was tedious.

I'd have to say, the vast majority of the story in ESO has been quality, with a few tedious parts, (Mages guild lore books) that have you running around dreading the thought of ever starting a new character. However, playing Summer set, I noticed the resurgence of tedious. Don't get me wrong, the main story of Summerset was great, it is the Psijic skill line leveling that had me falling asleep.

I thought maybe ZOS got the intern that made the Mages Guild Lore books leveling system and asked him if he isn't busy setting fire to kittens could he make an equally painful, mundane and miserable questline and ta-da, we get the Psijic skill line.

But wait, before the UN Human rights council could press charges against him for crimes against humanity he slipped in the Mirkmire daily quests.

I had a good laugh at the witty writing. I have been hearing that people are banging their heads getting those daily quests done, and yikes :/

I'm having a lot of fun with them. They're step-n-fetch, so not very taxing, but fun nevertheless. Many of the locations are places I haven't had a reason to visit in years

As someone who haven't done the quest... the quest itself doesn't sound that bad, but 150 of them...

Oh, well.. Sh*t. I haven't done them yet.

And edit, I actually liked leveling up my Psijic skill line. There was comic relief.

Do they have any good rewards, or is it just the high quality participation trophy for getting the achievment?

To be fair, I didn't hate the psijic line, the first time. I actually thought it was great for Summerset, great way to get the wayshrines. However, after I realised how long it went for, I was just left thinking, this is filler so marketing could write 'X hours of content'.

My gut says the achievement will be easier later on, because I believe more daily collection quests will be happening.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but do not the prequels go away when the DLC comes out? For PC that is Oct 22nd, if I read that right. So with only being able to do 6 dailies in a day, it takes 25 solid straight days to get the achievement with 150 completions. We only have 14 days until the 2nd.....

Hmm, makes my inner completionist scream.

What are these dailies people are talking about? I spent most of the night going from point A to B, crossing the map to talk to 3 NPCs scattered all over for Talos knows why, then doing the exact same 'fetch 3 items' that are scattered all over for Talos knows why, then talk to 3 NPCs again.... then go to 3 places..... then 3 people..... then 3 places.....

I gave up when finally the actual Murkmire location was open because my patience was gone. And I'm usually quite a patient person.

Seriously. I don't see the point in scattering objectives so much. It was a pain with the CWC introduction. It was a pain with Summerset. And now it's a pain again with Murkmire. And this is just the introduction to the daily quests, not even the quests themselves. Which are supposed to be an introduction for the actual DLC and not even part of the DLC itself.

Perhaps that's why we're getting it for free on the rewards next month. It's their way of apologizing for the repetitive brainless walk-all-over-for-X-hours-of-NEW!-content.

I do practically all PvE dailies on 6 characters on a regular basis, mostly for the motif pages and the achievements. I mix and match them to not get bored and burned out. 30 dailies was more than enough for me to praise the day they finally get done and the achievements ticked

But.... 150?? One-hundred and fifty dailies? On 6 characters?? I don't think I'll have this done in 5 years time. Even the Undaunted grind 'only' asks for 100 pledges. I have to agree this is absurd. No quality. Absurd quantity.

Please dont tell me that ZOS was so lazy and only implemented 6 quests for this. I cant really see myself doing the same 6 quests every day for the next 3 weeks. There should be a least 18 quests...

To be fair, it is the free prologue quest we are bitching about. However, 6 quests of this grade is too many.

The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

The first time you do the 6 quests it's fun. Then you come back tomorrow, the day after that and so on and you just feel braindead.

so there are really only 6 quests? and we are supposed to do those same 6 quests for 25 days to get the title? who came up with this idea?
