Several of the Murkmire prologue dailies are extremely badly designed. Once again ZOS disappoints

The only quest who is really frustrating for me is the Mammoth one, killed 30 or 40 of them with perhaps 1 piece of meat total, had to pick all the others on the ground.
The scorpion one isn't an issue as soon as you realize that you can find poison on beetles too, and there's a lot of them in an oasis on the side of one of the circle.

There's also the morels at Gil-Var-Delle which have a very low respawn time and tons of people camping them.

You're right about the scorpions, however, once again this is bad game design, since the game gives you several quest circles on the Alik'r map, you can't really blame a person for going to one of the quest markers and expecting to find the quest items they are after. In this case, one of the quest markers leads to the beetle area where you can quickly gather the items, whereas the other quest marker leads to a scorpion area with very few mobs and with other people camping them.
Doing the quest for the first time, there is no way to know that going to one quest marked area is vastly quicker and easier than going to the other.

In alikir you can kill beetles that are a short ride out of Sentinel. For mammoths they are found all over the Rift so I've been going to my secret spawning grounds and having to go through 2 to 3 spawns so yeah they are a pain.
The flower things in Grahtwood are annoying.

This may have been covered but killed mammoths inside the highlighted zone last night & got nada. Zip. Zilch. No meat.

Why is this? When did this in same spot night before, got the meat.

    Very very very fecking frustrating.

    For little of value.

One can only hope the server maintenance will include a patch to fix this mess.

    Couple clarifications:
    1. 150 quests = achievy points plus a title that is a badge of dishonor. I seriously hope if I ever show that title on a toon every other player will emote punch me in the face.

    2. 150 won't even get you close to a pet. You'll be exceptionally lucky to get 7 parts from 150 runs, but it will take a lot more to guarantee 7, and then you'll have dupes so prepare to trade or buy anyway.

    3. Mammoths is buggy. The mammoths in the quest circles do not reliably drop meat. You really need to farm away from the quest circles where mammoth's drop 1-3 each. Since other locations have 5 or less mammoths that means 2 laps to complete is normal so without other players plan to spend >50% of your time watching empty spawns. If you do it perfectly and no one else is nearby. In summary, it's poorly designed despite ETS feedback, plus it's broken. Submit a ticket. It's easy for ZOS to know the mammoth kill rate and adjust spawns to population even if they don't instance to player. It's ridiculous ZOS made this mistake again.

To the apologist above proud that it only took 15 minutes to complete mammoths, are you serious? In 38 hours of continuous gameplay, 37.5 of which will be staring at empty spawns, you'll get your dunce title. You're good with that?

The daily event quests have some very annoying bottlenecks indeed. I did all 6 yesterday (October 9th) on the PC EU server at around 9pm (so more or less at prime time):
    • The Gloom Morels in Gil-Var-Delle (Grahtwood) were by the far the most painful part for me. There were about 30 players constantly circling the area and camping all spots where someone had seen a morel spawn. The respawn needs to be at least 10 times faster here, or another solution needs to be found.
    • The Mammoth Meat in the Rift was another bottleneck for me. The mammoths respawn a bit faster and there's more of them - compared to the gloom morels - but most of the mammoths at the western quest circle location do not drop any meat when you kill them, and the respawn for meat that can be picked up from the ground is quite slow again with very few nodes (I've seen only 1 in the entire western quest circle area).
    • The Venom Sacks in the Alik'r Desert were thankfully a bit less problematic, but at the western quest circle I've only seen a single scorpion (+1 scorpion corpse on the ground that offers a free item for everyone to pick up without taking it away from other players), but I've read in forums posts now that the oasis spot is better and has bugs that drop the quest items as well so that should be no problem then :)
Otherwise, I managed to progress through all daily event quests for the first time, just fine.

About the 150 quests achievement and the title reward, I think the ZOS designers could have set the bar a bit lower at maybe around 50 or 100 daily quests for the title, but in the end, it's just a title, and not the best-sounding one in the game, in my opinion ("Murkmire Prepper"). For completionists who want to get absolutely all achievements in the game it's nothing compared to all the other things they need to do. For casual players, it's likely too much (I would say it takes a bit less than 1 hour per day to do all 6 quests, on 25 days) but no one has to get the achievement unless they absolutely want that title (and the very low amount of meaningless achievement points associated with it - points you can't even showcase to other players) and the quests are here to stay for a much longer time compared to quests from previous limited-time events.

I'm glad the pet parts can be traded with other players. This encourages interaction and is good for the game's trading economy; it allows people who want to get that pet to buy it from others without doing any of the event dailies, and those who like doing the dailies for potential profit from selling netch pet parts can do so as well and can turn in lots of quests every day (6 per character per day).*
      * I'm fairly certain gold prices for the netch pet parts will go down quite a bit, quite soon.
The memento is unlocked account-wide by completing the 2 one-time quests just once on a single character. So I think those parts of the event are well designed (memento and tradable pet parts). But the bottlenecks in the dailies need to go, in my opinion.

Edit: I forgot to mention the murkmire-themed furniture items that come as random rewards from the same event dailies which I really liked (though I would have prefered recipes instead of finished furniture items) :)

Can't wait until dlcs and chapters are divided into pieces. Boy oh boy.
New DLC should look as follows:
    1. Enter Prequel quest, containing daily Grinding quests. During this quests you'll be randomly rewarded with 1/10 map fragments of first DLC area. Completing them AND Prequel quest will allow you to travel to starting DLC wayshrine.
    2. Explore first area, do all quests and grind all Daily quests, as you'll be randomly rewarded with 1/10 map fragment of random next DLC area (1/8). You need of course complete full map, to open next area wayshrine.
    3. Explore second area, do all quests and grind all Daily quests at both areas, as your chances for getting random parts of locked areas are doubled now ;) Reapeat until you're lucky enough to complete any of next area map
    4. Explore 3rd area...
    5. If you're lucky, one of your already unlocked areas contains World Boss or Public Dungeon. Do not forget to farm them, as WB and Main Public Boss have loot of random fragment of map area granted, but only one a day.
    6. ...
    7. ...
    8. Congratulations! you revealed all of your DLC base zones. Now farm them daily, as your rewards will contain random part (1/20) of DLC Trial and Undaunted Dungeons area map.

At Crownstore you'll may buy DLC Treasure Hunters Scrolls. This Scroll will grant You 100% to chance of finding map fragments for 30 minutes

I forgot to mention, map fragments are Bind on Pickup

I think just north of the Stormhold Wayshrine in northern Shadowfen. But you may have to complete the 2 one-time quests first which you can get from the crown store (in the categories Featured and Quest Givers: "Cyrodilic Collections Needs You!").

Take the free quest starter item from the Crown Store.

Use it to start a quest.

Complete the two quests in that chain to unlock the daily quest giver. They'll be located in Stormhold by the shrine.

Because Western games are being infected with Korean-grinderMMO phone/console game like levels of grind. WoW has already been infected with its world quests for its latest expansion and it looks like ESO has caught a dose now.

Wow was doing this way before eastern influence. Old mmo were way more grindy than this stop trying make this into something that is not.

After a couple of days now, I've found Gloom Morel to be the absolute worst. Players constantly hovering and rotating, all looking for spawns. Many of the spawns directly on top of mobs. It's just sad to see that situation where players are encouraged into such horrible behavior just to get the quest completed. Maybe I'm missing something, but if I'm not, they need to up that respawn time. Unless of course, you're meant to essentially fight other players for the Morel spawns by design. If it is by design, the dev responsible is sadistic.

I didn't have any problem. Players came in, grabbed, and left. Players farming the local mobs helped keep the riff-raff out.

Im gonna stop complaining. This has to be a player tolerance test by ZOS

The ash basil is instanced to player. Perfect.
The gloom morels have a 30s respawn. Annoying.
The mammoths don't drop where the quest is marked, and the respawn is minutes and inconsistent. Fail.

I get that those quest should keep us busy - fine by me - but as stated by the OP : They overdid it, there is no fun if you have to spend 30 mins in one spot just to get 2 damn mushrooms or 10 pieces of meat - I takes ages to do all 6 of the quests and if rng is bad there is not one piece of the runebox :/

Not sure wether it's just me or something, but I did the quests since they dropped the first time around. And yesterday I did them for the third time and at least for the mushrooms and also the meat on the ground I think they did something with the respawn timer, as they came back way faster than the days before. I looked at my clock and had a meat respawn time of about 20 to 30 seconds....

I think we should bug report the gloom morel spawns as they are inconsistent with the rest of the daily quest spawns in not being instanced, because they're not in Cyrodiil and therefore should not force PvP. As for the mammoths and scorpions/beetles, ZOS needs to put a faster respawn on those because it's absurd that I should have to ride back and forth for three minutes with three other players desperately scouring an entire area waiting for respawns of an already-sparse resource...and then not have them drop the quest objective about a third of the time anyway. No!! BAD!!

    The morels should be instanced.

For scorpion, beetle, and mammoth, people need to think outside the box. Or, in this case, the circles. Seriously, folks, if it is busy, don't stand in the circles. As near as I can tell, every mammoth in The Rift drops that meat, in or out of the circle. The beetles are so plentiful that I have not needed to test that.

Once I learned what i had to do, I have not had any trouble getting any item, except for the morels. That seems to be the only place they grow.

Another big problem are the NPCs where you have to hand in stuff before returning to the questgiver in shadowfen. Depending on the zone you have to go through a loadscreen and still run quite a distance just so you can talk to someone before handing in the quest finally.

    Grahtwood quest for example:

    Port to grahtwood first location.
    Port to second location.
    Port to third location.
    Enter delve.
    Leave delve.
    Talk to person.
    Port to Shadowfen.

6 Loading screens and a ton of running around while getting frustrated at other people being able to take stuff in front of your nose.

Not gonna bother with theses quests for a while tbh.
