Think it's a bit strange how you can't dye the feathers of the Welkynar style

Considering how .. steep the grind is.... and how it costs six thousand crowns... I think it's a bit strange how players are unable to dye the feathers/wings considering they're such an important part of the chest piece.

Still incredibly pleased with how beautiful it looks on my main, but this is a gripe.. The feather's are like a dark green-black, so I dyed part of her staff a similar shade to match them T-T.

Just wondering why this is?

What possible reason would there be to not allow players to dye them?

I suppose the feathers are Gryphon feathers and were intended to share the shimmery peacock look of Gryphons.

However, at least on PS4, they actually resemble crow feathers gathered off the streets of Evermore. Disappointing, really.

Welkynars never tire of avian symbology, so of course our flaring pauldrons evoke the wings of great raptors. Their edges are even feathered with genuine gryphon plumage! (Don't even think of substituting raven feathers.)

Although there have been other Welkynars and other gryphons, the motif is a tribute to the four current individuals. The dye channels most likely considered how Relequen's armor deviated from the 'base' armor in determining how to let players modify their own Welkynar look.
