NPCs to walk around my house

They don't have to do anything, maybe some chatter when interacting with them. Just have them go wander my courtyard, sweeping the grounds, or standing guard at the door. Something to make it feel like my Serenity Falls Estate manor isn't occupied by a complete loner. I have the vendor and banker in my storage / crafting area behind a counter working a shop, but it doesn't seem enough. I got this BBQ setup in the back all ready to invite hungry guests with no one to serve and a diving board to my awesomely decorated pool.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Would love to have a servant sweeping. That should be fairly easy for them to do, actually, if it's done as an animated furnishing. Also, a bard playing music, or a cook stirring a pot.

I'd also love if our alts would appear in the house, particularly if they were sitting reading a book or something (it would be awkard to just have them standing around all the time, I think). It'd require more difficult coding than my first suggestions, though, so I'm not sure that they'll ever do it.

I've long wanted to be able to have our alternate characters hang around our homes when we aren't using them. Let us establish a path for them to walk with some emotes and actions for them to do. And maybe let us interact with them in the capacity of letting us ask them to play music. Anything to make our homes feel lived in.

NPCs to walk around my house
    I can imagine...
    lusty_argonian_maid_by_cinn_ransome-d5hw412.png
    :p;):naughty:

    ...

    On a more serious note...
    ...it would be cool!
I imagine, we could hire "servant" NPCs... like I once posted:
It would make sense for larger homes to come with special "NPC servant slots"... not to place your NPC servants as immobile furniture, but to have them a completely new category, able to move around your home, with varying animations... so, a cleaning servant might sweep floors (like some we can see in inns for example), a cook servant may move from one kitchen table to the other and do the "cooking" animation, a guard servant might patrol, a bard servant might sing for a while, then stop to get a drink, then sing some more, a dancing girl servant might dance, then stop to rest and idle a bit, then dance some more... etc.
There even could be special classes of homestead NPCs... for those who really want an NPC waifu? :p;) (or children who greet their parent when they come home from their life of adventure?)

It would open up a entirely new range of things to sell in the crown store for ZOS, servant NPCs in varying configurations (like, the cleaning servant could come in every race, from breton serf to argonian maid... and possibly even in several appearance "ranks", from lowly barmaid in threadbare apron to fancy noble servants in silk livery...)

The possibilities for servant customization are endless as well, could be as little or as much as ZOS wants to code for us to spend crowns on... we could have a whole "servant customization" tab, where we could slot different hairstyles, makeup, outfits and professions (for the animations they will follow while moving around our homes - like, guard servant, cleaning servant, etc. - there could even be advanced professions as upgrades with limited interactions, like the basic maid just cleans and ignored the player, but the advanced maid profession would also stop their cleaning and bow to their "master" when the player character passes them in the hallways, etc.)

They could even make the basic servant purchasable (well, hire-able, unless you are one of those telvanni slaver scum!) with gold, in varying regions (hire a dunmer dancing girl from a random selection in ebonheart, or an argonian maid in stormhold, or a nord guard in windhelm, etc.) or attainable from quests or achievements (save the breton damsel in distress, gain an ever faithful servant? Purchase a manor and find it comes with a butler?) and then just sell the customization options in the crown store for those who want to have their servants personalized (and let's be honest, we all would want that, yes?)
This of course could be combined with the outfit system by making all the "civilian clothing" we can steal and launder available for that as well through decostruction (and sell way more "civilian clothing" bits for the outfit system in the crown store - like, selling people all those costumes -again- in bits and pieces for the outfit system...), and using the same system to dress up our barbies... I mean, NPC servants. Possibly with some limitations, like NPCs get "basic alliance race armors only" while PCs are allowed to dress up in the more advanced and rare outfit styles, etc.

They also could sell some NPC servants in the crown store... like, keep the ten base races hire-able for gold, but add more specialized NPCs (vampire maid, zombie worker, dremora butler, skeleton stablehand, werewolf guard, factotum servant, goblin slave, dark seducer bard...) to the crown store (much like those special mounts)...

Actually a good idea. a singing NPC bard, or a chef, or even story NPCs like Raz or Quen <3 (kinda like the Drauger of Obscure reward).

Let me make my house into my character change screen. Have my alts be lounging about the place when I'm not playing them and let me interact with them to swap into a different character instead of constantly loading in and out to swap characters.
You'll have to load in and out anyways. The game can't switch your characters 'on the fly', it have to do server synchronization, check and load all stuff related to the character, probably dedicate some server space/instance. So, it's not going to happen.
By the way, I want to remind ZOS that the community still wants to have mannequins to be able put gear sets on them.

I always liked the housing in SWTOR. You could interact with your characters buddy's but not another character's buddies (unless the other character was logged in) but I thought it was cool. Place them all around. Or like Skyrim.
