Sloads in PvE

I joked on the forum recently that with changes to stam sorc, I was going to put on a dot build that includes sloads, and build my cp into bleeds, and let the hate mail wash over me.
I came up with something, and to test it out, I ran it in vet City of Ash 1 solo. Not the most challenging of dungeons, I admit, but it was a test.

To my suprise, things melted. Including bosses. Didn't take video, really wish I had. And yes, I took it to battlegrounds, and as nasty of a build I've ever run. Absolutely no skill required.
But not the point.

So, sloads...the scourge of PvP. Actually not bad in PvE. Anyone else use or have used this set in PvE? (Obviously not talking about leaderboard trial stuff here, please keep that in mind.)

Uh...don't really want to say, but here it is in the battleground I mentioned.
Maybe you can tell by the debuffs? But, it's really cheesy and nasty. Don't want to be responsible for people running this. BG's are already full of nasty.

More curious to know about other players PvE experience with the set, if any..

Unless you’re a warden frost healer, nothing is nasty in BGs

My tank is wearing an old set of sloads in impen that I recently retired and it seems passable. I'm only using it to boost dps in simple overland content and pledges though, and that could be done fully nude. There are better options, but so it goes.

If its a bleed build its either pillar of nirn or blooddrinker. Not many of those sets around.

It’s not bleeds I think it’s a different set. I’m 80 percent sure it’s something that a few people in my pvp guild use for gank blades.

Viper is almost universally better if you have any penetration whatsoever. Sloads is completly useless in PVE when compared to its competition.

(2 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(4 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(5 items) When you deal damage with a Melee Attack, you deal an additional 6400 Poison damage over 4 seconds. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.

    vs

(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) Damaging an enemy has a 10% chance to put a Leeching Shadow on them, dealing 853 Oblivion Damage every 1 second for 6 seconds. This effect can occur every 6 seconds.

    Conclusion:

2pc of sloads is big dudu in PVE. 2pc and 4pc are kinda bad for a build relying on proc sets but the fact that your light attacks can crit more often probably already makes up for the difference.

5pc of sloads deals way less damage than vipers. Not only is it not guaranteed but it also doesn't scale with your passives and CP. Those two things are almost always more important than ingnoring resistances.

There are only three scenarios in which sloads might be better than viper:

1: You are a low level player and have no CP or penetration.
2: You are a ranged or magicka build.
3: You really want those extra resistances you get from sloads because you can make your chest heavy and your belt light armor instead of relying on your monster set to get the 5-1-1 bonus.

~800 single target dps dot is nearly nothing in PVE

you had easy clear not because of a weak set in PVE perspective

(just compare it with relequen which brings something like 5k dps?)

but because COA1 is just a cakewalk

Didn't I state as much in my post?
    Um.....I'm pretty sure I did.
Thanks for pointing out what I've pointed out myself...I guess?
