Much needed. It would encourage me to sort out some of my secondary houses because I'd be so embarassed at the thought of people turning up to find a couple of old boxes and Tythis standing in a neglected corner...

There is an addon that allows travel to non-primary homes, but you need to know which homes they have to travel there.

It really surprises me that they didn't have this functionality in the first place.

^^ the addon works fine, and I don't really want to imagine how many other things these monkies will break trying to put this in game xD

Not sure why they haven’t added this

For the same reason we cant toggle a guild banner with a custom look.

I surprised this was never put in the game in the first place.

Home is set to be Public or Private. Public can be visited by any group you give permission to, guild friends, decorators. Private, well, its private.

We should still have a primary as then people will know where we set up say crafting or maybe have other events.

That's one way of doing it.

Another would be for the Home Owner to give "Keys" to people (in this case an Account) they want to be able to access their homes - similar to how SWTOR does it.

You can even have different levels of Keys:
Bronze: Can visit and use normal interactives.
    Silver: Can also access Storage
Gold: Can access the Housing Editor (this requires Furnishings to have their one "craft bag" so that if a Gold Guest removes a furnishing it is placed in the Home Owner's "furnishing bag".)

SWTOR has been doing this since... ..erm... ...2014 I think.

    Indeed yes!
I have several houses and would really like my friends on my guild visit all of them when ever they want. At the moment have Tamriel library with all the readable books on one... Slots full after furnishing it. Would also like to offer all crafting stations on other house. Can't be on one house cause lack of slots.
What's the problem of allow player share all the owned homes..?

    Of course YAY

    Homestead still lacks two features

    - multiple residences open to visit
    - a guild-friendly / community-friendly improvement of the overall housing system

Homestead lacks more than those two features. The dev team is quite small judging by the speed they release new items, but their managers are greedy since they keep releasing huge overpriced mansions, while ignoring all the feedback given.

I would like to add a wayshrine in my houses, I would use the one far away from wayshrines more often

Yes I agree this is a good idea. With the visitor permission list you can block some houses you want private and list all the others for viewing. I don't think it was anticipated how popular housing would be and that so many people would have multiple houses. Also the ability to add a note to each home to write what the house is about for a description or role playing purposes.

Yes, when I bought my homes in various zones and decorated them, (even adding things they could enjoy like crafting stations and/or mundus stones, ect). I thought that I could set them for my STORM-CATS Guildmates to visit them whenever they wanted to, whether I was online or not. However, they can only visit my primary residence at Sleek Creek, which is nice but not the only one I thought they would have available when I set permissions for the other homes to give my guild permissions for those purchased homes too.

So, I certainly agree that it would be great if that could be fixed, so guild owners can at least share our homes with our guilds as intended. =^..^= Purrr
