Just a little tired of the sorc/shield crying.... You're not the only nerf

Wardens (who out of anyone didn't need a hit) just got another - yeah the bear, the bear, the bear.......... I don't want to tank with my warden, I want the bear with my warden, and the initial warden was much different than the current one......... I have 5 sorcs, including pet and non pet. The warden one is far more brutal. Can we just assume that new releases mean new nerfs and move on? ZOS does not make it generally better with new releases, because they nerf. We all know this. It would be great if they would take an enhance approach to balance, rather than a nerf approach, but they do not. It is what it is, and all the crying in the world, will not change that general approach. It's been that way for years now. Just take it, learn to adapt, or leave it.The end.

I don't have the bw to download the PTS. What happened to the bear?

Nerfed by 30%. They buffed a few passives to compensate (total DPS comes out to the same or slightly lower than before). This a problem because magicka warden was the worst DPS class in the game. They didn't need nerfs or lateral changes. They needed *** buffs.

Also, every magicka class suffers from the shield nerf as every magicka class uses Harness Magicka in endgame content. Sorcs are just crying the loudest. Everyone got *** though.

We reduced the damage of bear so we could buff the base damage of Wardens; the overall DPS should be within 1-2% of what it was before due to the buff of Advanced Species. This means anyone who doesn't use the bear will see less of a DPS loss.

And of course you now have better sustain due to changes to the netch and swarm....but yeah, no you're right. You got just so badly nerfed into the ground yeah...

Edit: In all fairness, Magden DOES need a buff, but the point is, you didn't get nerfed. The only nerf magden got was the same nerf that sorcs got, the shield. I play mag everything, My magden's damage is actually slightly higher due to the changes to prophecy and intellect as well as enchantments. My sorc on the other hand now has an entirely different playstyle. I play for high DPS, I can't get high dps on anything without also surviving. On my pet sorc I had to swap out the shield for crit surge in order to do that due to the shield cast time taking about 10k dps from me in a dungeon setting. For my warden I can still afford the shield for oh crap moments, and the healing is about the same if not a little more consistent with the warden.

So don't worry, you still have more survivability than duel pet sorcs like me, and if you play it right the damage ain't too bad either.

Thank you for the explanation. I have a magden, but don't play her much as yet - I actually prefer the tanky version so far. All my toons are 26 and under, so I'm too new to know much yet!

Why, do you get paid to read forums you don't like?

No? Then stop reading them for 10 days and then it'll be over.

Yawn. As a (former) magwarden main I'm more worried about the shield nerf than the bear nerf.

Tired of sorcs pissed about their shield nerf, yeah, I get that, I really do. Then again, I'm also tired of seeing thread after thread trying to minimize/justify a class's primary, reactive-type defense getting a cast time.
