Quality of Life change Furniture crafters would benifit from.

I am not sure why it was never done, but why aren't we able to break down pieces of furniture we don't need and recover some of the mats we used to make them like we can with EVERY other craftable item? Of course Crown items would be excluded, but if I make a bookshelf and then decide I don't want it, I would love to break it back down and get at least a few items I put into making it back. Yes I know you could just sell it, but with the exception of some pieces, premade furniture hardly sells for enough to recoup the cost of the items you put into it in the first place.


I cant be the only Furniture Crafter that wants this, right?

I understand why it hasn’t been done. They would need to program appropriate break down recipies for hundreds of items, or add a bunch of tags to items. Not a small task, though doable.

Personally, I just want them to fix the dwemer frame costs or drop rate. I love dwemer stuff, but the frames needed to make anything is beyond obscene.

If all furnishings became bound when we placed them in our houses, then yes, this is a feature I would have be interested in.

But knowing I can sell later, I rarely craft at a loss unless I personally really like the item.
