Left during "Expansion" vs DLC controversy, more due to continuing unresolved long-standing issues.
Upon return, I find that several beefs have been resolved:
1: Traits and drops: Solved by introducing a new grind focused on changing traits. Not ideal, but tolerable.
2: Jewelry crafting: Solved... but put behind a paywall. Another compromise.
3: Morrowind is now DLC, available for crowns and presumably available to people who pay a subscription.
So... Thank you, Zenimax overlords, I'll buy Summerset, not because of the event that grants arbitrary stuff, or because I condone the bait and switch I feel was done to the affected player base, but because the game company I work at degenerated into shouting matches, gangs that now represent different views of office politics over similar issues, with those issues still deadlocked and killing off our Steam numbers every month. I'd love if you folks would dump the cash gambling, and stop making DLC that isn't immediately available to your loyal monthly subcribers, but if you guys give a little, I guess I will too.
