Minor/Major Evasion: These buffs no longer grant a passive chance to dodge. They now reduce the damage you take from area of effect attacks by 5/25%. All abilities that previously granted Minor or Major Evasion have been converted to this new effect, and the Blade Cloak ability now grants Major Evasion.

This change affects the abilities Blur, Evasion, Deceptive Predator, Gossamer, Grace of Gloom, Adept Rider, Hist Bark, and Spectre’s Eye.
As noted above, we spent time fixing issues with dodge, with the goal of making sure that you only dodge abilities/projectiles when you are actually actively dodging. Passive dodge goes against that, so we removed it from the game.
Why did they murder Evasion? Why? Pvp whiners? Why? They’ve killed every newb tank. They’ve killed every non dk, non Warden tank. Who asked for this? So what they just admitted to was they couldn’t fix it so they removed it. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot you guys. this is so wrong.

I've put up with every nerf to my NB sap tank for 2 years but I guess with these nerfs to funnel, refreshing path and mirage he's finally and utterly dead
So much for "we want every class to be able to fill every role"...

I wonder if ZOS is aware that the "Nerf Warden" thing is actually a running joke.SydneyGrey wrote: »They're nerfing bears. THEY'RE NERFING BEARS.
I was. Currently on a tea break.PelinalWhitestrake wrote: »I got my popcorn ready to see the ***-show and complainers cry as per usual.
Shouldn't you be out killing Ayleids instead? :P

Feral Guardian: Decreased the damage done by the bear summoned from this ability and its morphs by approximately 30%
That’s exactly what we wanted! Right guys??? RIGHT?!
I immediately regret my decision to read said notes. This has to be a nightmare.

I thought it was April 1st...then I read the date andI can undestand 1 sec cast time to make it "fair" to remove passive evasion, but the changes to make shields crittable, but not crit, and work off resist AND buffing both crit and damage overall seem to be completely stupid changes from someone that obviously has no idea what they are doing.
Those two changes combined means that shields will become far WEAKER overall for anyone in light armor, esp. considering damage continues to rise every patch and they keep introducing more and more sets that do damage, which ironically was part of the justification for nerfing shields. So you nerf the shields, yet leave the proc sets alone? Even better, they leave absorb magic alone too, even though it is the most "potent" shield in the game and still will be? Absorb magic lasts 30 seconds, absorbs nearly all magic/elemental damage in the game, can be spammed without cast time, and it heals you! So we got a skill that shuts down magic users, and then stacking damage procs will be viable against anyone wearing light armor because shields will suck harder (already is very effective), and heavy armor sets still will keep their large damage buffs for stam users, while heavy armor will also be able to use shields better than light armor. What could possibly go wrong with balance?
Who is on the balance team making these decisions? They have no sense of balance and probably need to step into PvP as a mag user this patch and see how well that works out for them. Mag is dead.
Is it just me or the new Spell Strategist set seems incredibly strong?
Spell Strategist (Light)
2: Max Magicka
3: Spell Damage
4: Spell Damage
5: When you deal damage with a Light Attack, you place a mark over your target for 5 seconds, granting you 500 Spell Damage against your marked target. This effect can occur every 4 seconds.
500 spell damage just for light attacking. Siroria at full stack gives 600 spell damage. Unless I'm missing something, this is broken strong...
