Addons - what are the must haves now? Many of my old ones worked but the Lazy Writ crafter one is a godsend. Any other mods out there that are really helpful?

Housing - I find lots of patterns. Should I save them up before buying a house? Can you let others in your house? Do you get more storage space with a house for items?

Whose good to follow on social media? No where near the min-maxing stage yet but seems animation canceling is still a thing though they seem to have changed the bow mechanic. Who is still around with good instructional content. Alcast was someone I followed in the past.

Add-ons - depends on what your focus will be. I don't ever want to play without Awesome Guild Store, Advanced Filters, Inventory Insight, or Dressing Room. There's a long list of others I feel are between good and essential for specific situations, some for competitive group content, many for PvP, some for trading, and others for UI improvements and QoL.

You may as well learn the furniture plans now, no need to wait. You can get a free apartment by completing a quest you pick up in the bank of your home alliance zone, Vivec City, or Alinor. You can grant levels of permissions to others: Decorator, Visitor, limited Visitor, or Blacklist. These can be set at the guild level or the individual level.

Alcast's builds and content are still very popular.

    Part 1. Addons.

I'll give you my own recommendations, maybe someone will advise smth else. Addons are not must have, I know people playing without them. But addons make your life easier and save time.
    • Awesome Guild Store - helps me a lot when I need to find specific item and check many guild traders.
    • Bug Catcher - good buy error window in the middle of raid.
    • jovAST - a small addon which will help you to transfer addon setting from one character to another.
    • MasterMerchant - say goodbye to "any price info?". Find 1-2 trading guilds and have fresh data about items prices. Also some people use TTC or both.
    • pChat - can be helpful if you use chat a lot.
    • Research Assistant - helpful is you still need to research some traits.
    • Wykkyd's Toolbar - all important info on a small bar you can set as you wish (money, repair info, AP, weapons charge info, mounts training, zone name, character name and etc. etc.)
    • Zolan Junk Handler - now I just need to mark items as junk and this addon will remember them. Now I don't bother about all this trash and sell it with one click.
    • Harven's Extended Stats - more info about your stats.
    • Inventory Grid View - for me it's more comfortable that infinite scrolling

Also addons I use for specific situations.
    • Champion Point Respec
    • Lazy Writ + Daily Alchemy + Daily Provisioning
    • Multi Craft - just select amount of items you want to craft and wait.
    • Writ Worth - see how much it will take in average to craft this writ.
    • Bot Scanner - meh, no one cares anyway.

    Battle and leveling addons:
    • Combat Metrics - useful for own dps improvements and fight logs
    • Grim Focus Counter - for my main Nightblade
    • Harvest Map - farming and lagging all the way!
    • Lore Books, Skyshards, Lost Treasure
    • Raid Notifier - useful for raiding
    • Srendarr, LUI Extended - I prefer these addons for bars and buffs view.

    Part 2. Housing.

Depends on. Sometimes for me it's better to save 1 recipe and craft several similar items. Sometimes I just sell purple and blue recipes to buy furniture I want. When I know I need just one thing and it's better to sell recipe for 10k and buy thing for 2k than learn it and lose money.

You can buy storages with crowns, vouchers or tel var stones (if I'm correct here) or level up your character to lvl 18 and get free 30-slots storage as a house item, but once per account.

    Part 3. Media.

Yes, Alcast is good when you need to learn different things. Also check Tamriel Foundry forum topics.
But when you need to learn some specific class/build, it's better to find tutorials and articles from no so popular, but high professional players. Alcast is about popularity with good stable quality. But there're many others who knows their class much and much better. So yes, I'd recommend to check Alcast youtube channel and website with builds and articles.

Thanks for the replies. I’m getting back into the swing of things and these mods have helped. Writs are far less time consuming now.
