Having issues with zooming in on character..

I am using a controller and never had this issue before until a month ago. When I hit the start button on my controller it would zoom in on my character, which it does until i'm riding a mount. Anyone know why it does that? When I press start on a mount, it zooms out so far that I cant really see my character. But when I'm not riding a mount it zooms in just fine.
