How big the map will satisfy you? (for next chapter)

Personally I feel like just elsewhyr is not gonna cut it if they really are working on their "most ambitious" chapter, probably elsewhyr+niben is a good line

Similarly, rest of hammerfall+colovia sounds not bad neither.

Skyrim or Blackmarsh won't be bad, but Skyrim probably should wait a bit longer to adrenaline hype again in future, and release whole blackmarsh right after muirkmire doesn't sound like a good idea, too repetitive and ppl are gonna rant "muirkmire should have been in the chapter in the first place"

And rest of the tamriel map (solthest, or telvanni territory etc) are simply too small for a chapter

So what's gonna satisfy you? Is one single province gonna cut it?

I can't be bothered with size. What I want is quality. The amount of content has to be justified for the amount you paid, not the size of the map. I don't want a cyrodil, big map that requires so much travelling time that it takes away from the questing itself.

As aa wise man once said "it's not the size of the hammer that counts, its how you wield it."

Map size doesn't matter at all. Look at Morrowind. It was mostly empty, barren landscape with a million locked doors.

But for the next chapter, if I had to guess, I would say it's gonna be the size of Bleakrock but with huge mountains covering 3/4 of the zone

But all joking aside, map size isn't really a hot topic issue, the key issue is how much stuff is going on in said map... as in i'd rather have a tightly knit map with a ton of things happening over a few things happening across thousands of miles of jack ***

"Just" Elsweyr would definitely be enough to satisfy me. Keep in mind, both Vvardenfell and Summerset both had large parts of the landmass blocked off by mountains, so if Elsweyr itself is the chapter, and it doesn't have that much terrain blocked off, then it would still be their most ambitious and largest chapter.

Not to mention the different biomes Elsweyr offers, desert, badlands, tropical rainforest, and the wide variety of alien culture to examine, with the different forms of Khajiit - and remember, there's still Tsaesci and Kamal that still exist in the city of Rimmen right now.

Also, I'm pretty sure Leyawiin may be part of Elsweyr at this point in time, as it only turned over to Cyrodiil territory after the 5 year war in the 3rd era.

I know it was mostly hyperbole, but when IT people say things like "this is our most ambitious work yet" it makes me nervous. Doubly so, given what happened to ZOS's original ambitions for this game.

"this is our most ambitious work yet" is meaningless marketing drivel.

I expect it to be Vvardenfell/Summerset sized and of a similar quality.

It is time for a Daedric chapter, they will run out of Tamriel to add fast if they do a large region of Tamriel each chapter.

i want to see something similar to the size of cyrodil with a actual storyline and subquests in substantial size. these tiny dlcs are getting to be a whats the point purchase its not giving anything to the game.

Wrothgar was smaller and shorter than Morrowind and Summerset.

I didn't like the story in Wrothgar (you had to oppose a progressive king and side with conservative elements of orc society, with absolutely no say in the matter), and the zone was smaller than Morrowind and Summerset. They've upped the ante considerably since then.

I'd personally like to see more of Cyrodiil added as PvE zones along with the PvP area being updated to be more visually interesting and in line with Oblivion's version. The bridges and mile gates change is nice, but more could be done. As for what the PvE content would entail, it could be faction war stories, vampire questlines, etc. In the future I'd like to see them update vanilla zones as a chapter. People complain about the lack of Elsweyr at launch, but the quality of the zones will be better than most. The real injustice was getting all of Valenwood at launch, those zones are very bland, Valenwood has so much more potential than what we got. Imagine having a larger area that's more like Selene's Web or Mirkwood. The current Valenwood is so tame and lacks the wild feeling a large forest should have.

I found Summerset even more anemic than Vvardenfell. Even the usage of the landmass was sharply reduced. If you flash up the Harvestmap addon in both areas, you'll see what I mean. Summerset's chunks of unexplorable/unused areas are massive.

I hope they move away from the "less is more" development they seem to have latched on to. Less content, more reskins, and higher prices. Oh, and more grind to stretch out the watered down content.

If they put in the effort and focus the Crown Store gets, and aimed it at real content, there would be a lot more happy people.
