Wild Hunt Transform - Should it remain a Memento or be classified as a Polymorph?

I understand that we have three Wild Hunt Mementos. One that acts as a skin and another two that act as auras, which is normal for a memento I believe. EDIT: The problem I am having with one is that a Memento such as the Wild Hunt Transform, which changes your skin & over all form, should be a polymorph. (Edited because makes more sense)

Thoughts?

It doesn't just change your skin though. It also changes the texture of your armor.

    Or as a polymorph?

I was going to get it with gems and then realised it's a short-lasting memento not a skin or polymorph. Also apparently other players only see a couple of branches coming out of you rather than the full effect. 100 gems for that is too much imo.

It is still very different than a polymorph since it changes based on your armor and race. A polymorph gives you a completely new player model.

So? If it doesn't fit as a skin just because it skins all and less a polymorph because it doesn't give you a changed form, that doesn't make it unworthy to fit one of those. I believe it still should fall under the skin or poly category.

Unless mementos end up having permanent effects in the future, to me it seems like the only one out of the three that doesn't deserve to be stuck in mementos.

What I am saying is that it will require the looks of the form to change in order for it to be made into either. Also they are much more visually intensive than other skins or polymorphs. It could be a performance reason that they aren't persistent effects.

I would love the change as a polymorph. Always felt odd it was a memento but was excited to get it.

Do we really a dozen threads about an old reward?

The crate mementos were bumped up from 10 seconds to 180 seconds as a compromise. Now you can enjoy the same effect, just for a longer period of time.

But one of the primary differences between appearance collectibles and mementos is how appropriate for PVP they are as a permanent. It's one thing to spam Hurricane because you're spending resources to use it. But if you had something like Storm Atronach Transform as a poly or skin you're getting to hide or significantly distort your appearance, without a resource cost. There are also the particle effects which could mislead players into believing those are skill telegraphs as opposed to passive effects.

It's not to punish players who have them. It's so that players who don't have them aren't punished.
