Personally, I use Bound Armaments only for the passive and the active effect only gets used if I accidentally fat finger it.

oh I just returned too and wondered why I kept having to press bound armor. A 3 second buff is very bad I will be removing that skill too.
So does this nerf have a big negative affect on sorcerer tanks? I guess you can get your resistances from other places.
Why do they keep saying any class can perform any role, yet keep nerfing them so you can't??

Protect yourself with the power of Oblivion, creating a suit of Daedric mail that increases your block mitigation by 20% for 3 seconds.
(This is a new effect you get for activating it)
While Slotted, your Max Stamina is increased by 5% and light attack damage is increased by 11%, This part is always active for being on your bar (this is what you used to get for activating it)
This is not a nerf because if you die you don’t have to reactive it.

ok I guess I am getting confused since I havn't played in awhile, but I remember there being a morph that gave me 1500 resistances when it was toggled.
Does you still get resistances as a passive or do you need to press the skill for a short buff?
ok so even though it is not a toggle now, I still have to double bar the skill so that I get the minor ward and minor resolve as a passive?
