I play on PC EU and really struggle to get into this trial. In Craglorn people only spam HRC over and over, sometimes AA and CR. Never seen HOF. I'm in few guilds but it seems no one is interested in this trial.

Its a pity because I need the Master Architect set and would love to farm it but...

Maybe some of you know any EU guild that have fair amount of members so theres a bigger chance dor success.

thx in advance

I did it few times always with random people with no problem.

    I'm interested in normal difficulty.

Just spam zone with "experienced leader leading nHoF" and see if you can build a group.

you could also try the looking for group forum section and see if it's possible to build a group from there.

Thats the problem - I managed to get few people but always not enough number.

Wish there was a finder for normal trials only. That whole looking for people is ruining the whole experience for me.

The first boss fails groups who can't communicate the mechanics to each other, and act properly on the knowledge as a team. So people who don't listen, don't pay attention, and who are slow on the uptake all can't pass the first boss.

Then, the rest of the bosses aren't far behind in the do-this-right-or-people-die department. Critical burn windows, tank alternation mechanics, and so on... It's really not something many people would enjoy on a lazy afternoon. I think that Zeni succeeded in making something too hard for most non-raiders, even on normal mode.

The mechanic density is a bit too high in HoF, and there's just too much in the dungeon - too many boss fights, too many tedious linking sections. Someone drops? Go cook dinner while the replacement catches up. It tips more towards exhausting, rather than enjoyable.

Nobody says "Halls of Fabrication, that sounds like fun". And so, nobody plays it.

You can thank Alcast for the HR revamp.
Some month ago nobody really cared about it.

My trials guild runs HOF every Sunday. I think you need to look into joining a guild. It's a hot spot considering the architect gear and the super duper love mag blades are currently getting.
Drathus Delenu- Dunmer magDk: Shehai Shatterer, Mageslayer, Stormproof, Peak Scaler, Clockwork Confounder, Orderly, Master Wizard, Cloudrest Hero, Undaunted, Dragonstar Arena Champion
    Thoronir Rolston- Breton petsorc: Stormproof
Zaakazha-Redguard stamblade: Boethia's Scythe, Clockwork Confounder, Maelstrom Arena Champion, Dragonstar Arena Champion

    Scrubs:
    Justinius Maximus Decimus- Altmer magblade
    Agronak gro'Mashul- Orc DK Tank
    Valerya Hawkcroft- Breton healer
    Zaaka- Imperial stamDK/crafter

Every time I join nhof it goes the same way.

We get to the first boss, the leader says **** all. I ask who has purge and interrupts. The healers say they have purge, no one has crushing shock so we go for it and hope the healers can breath of life me as stamina basher. We wipe instantly. I say we need more purge and the healers say they are running extended ritual "just use the synergy".

After fighting with the group for awhile over who is responsible for what we find out no one has an actual purge except for me (on my stam dps who isn't even with the group), no one else can interrupt and everyone leaves.

The leader stays silent the entire time.

    I no longer join nhof.

Cause you need purge. PvP skill. Sorry. Mutagen and ritual aren’t gonna cut it. It’s not casual friendly at all. Long. Don’t get anything good out of it.

I’m hardcore filthy casual as it gets, but don’t have 4 hours to trudge through this place very often. Oh yeah. That time frame. It’s because players are dropping like flys the whole time, needing to be replaced because it’s taking too long.

You can run normal Craglorn trials in 15 or 20 minutes. MOL in 25 minutes or so. Cloudrest or AS, 25 minutes. Even if things go well in hof with a good group, it’s close to an hour. And still, not many people want anything out of there.

    1. It's hard
    2. The only useful gear it drops is designed for the worst/least popular class in the game (warden)

Really, its a number of things.
    1) The gear is very situational and most, including myself, are less that impressed so nobody really want to farm a nHoF.
    2) It is scaled so normal mode is more difficult than some vet trials. Realistically, pug groups aren't going to succeed. The mechanics are actually fatal on normal if not done.
    3) It is long, an hour or so even with a good group.

Overall, HoF is an interesting trial with some good mechanics. It is the last real trial that ZOS has done with real mechanics instead of just piling bosses on top of each other. It is clearly the least run of the trials though and vet suffers most of the same problems with enticing people to run as normal does.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

It has nothing to do with difficulty.
It has nothing to do with length.
It has nothing to do with mechanics.

It has everything thing to do with not being labeled BIS.

You can bet yourself if it was labeled BIS for the FOTM build there would be a line outside.

Well, it's BiS for Magden, which is a better DPS than Sorc with it so...that's something

Never really said Sorc was FOTM. The amount of people playing Mag Wardens....is still probably lower than Mag NB.

I was just making a point how the gear is useful for someone.

And in an 8-NB group I feel as if one or two might use MA set to buff the others since Soul Harvest is just as cheap as the bear.
