Suggestion: Hireling passive for Jewelry crafting

Title says it all. Would be nice to see one in the future considering that all the other crafting profession has one already. Not sure actually, why it wasn't implemented in the first place. What do you think?

It wasn't implemented for the same reason that they split up all of the mats into fragments, they wanted to increase the grind as much as they could.

Yes they should have one, but is highly unlikely that they would ever make that change.

In my opinion ZOS did a decent job implementing jewelry crafting. Given how powerful jewelry had become they wanted to implement a system where it was craftable, but still harder to obtain than other similar pieces. Therefore it makes sense that they did not include the hireling passive when it first came out to make it more challenging to obtain materials and level.

That being said, now that the market on jewelry materials has stabilized (a little) and a lot of players have gone through the pain of acquiring mats and grinding up to lvl 50, I do think it would be nice to have the hireling passive option. While I do stand by that it was implemented pretty well, it's a little overtuned now and a hireling would improve that.

tl;dr: Not having it at implementation was fine for me but now I think this is a spot-on idea.

    Exactly!

And if you look at some older discussions about jewelry crafting, you will see how many people were worried about this, and thus prompted the considerations on ZOS part to make it this way.

And since they made it this way, they won't easily or quickly change it either.

If anything, then they -might- someday add something. Not a hireling, but... something similar, possibly...
...personally I hope it will be gold-sink wise. Like, pay a "prospector" for a daily prospecting mission, and get a random return, much like hirelings... someday common dust, someday something good... but -always- at a high cost, this is not mere wood, but precious metals after all!

I'm not entirely sure about it but i believe my blacksmith hirelings are giving me jewelry mats. might just be from doing daily writs though i'll have to pay more attention.

Has anyone else been getting only pewter ounces from their JC writs? A hireling would probably help me not get only pewter ounces.

I think all crafting skills should have a hireling. I look forward to my hireling mail every day. Its not like they give much anyway, I wish they would do this!
