I'm a bit new to this game but I love it. Unfortunately my dps is too low. I'm using a Dark Elf vampire, stamsorc with a molag kena monster set, red mountain armor and gryphon jewelry and weapons. I'm using dual wield axes and a bow on my backbar. As far as abilities go, I'm using dark deal, bound armor on both bars, endless hail, poison injection, flurry, crit surge, that dual slash ability, deadly cloak and that electric cloak. Sorry for not being very clear on the last few abilities, I don't remember their names. I tested all of this on a dummy(3mil) and I only got 8k dps. I do okay in some vet dungeons but it feels like I'm not pulling my weight and in some dungeons I just get kicked for being useless. Can anyone offer advice?

    Check this: https://alcasthq.com/eso-stamina-sorcerer-build-pve/

Or just google: eso stam sorc pve build

As far i can see your race, gear and skills arent optimal for high damage.

DPS is basically based on having a good rotation utilising both the back and front bars (swapping to use or reapply skills) and weaving in a light attack between every skills.

    Weaving = LA > Skill > LA > Skill ... Repeat.

You can look at some end game (and end game entry) builds here at Alcast HQ.
    https://alcasthq.com/eso-stamina-sorcerer-build-pve/

Be aware however that Alcast's builds are designed for end game trials and having the build alone may not work for you, it's worth doing some research into game mechanics, rotations and weaving as well.

One of the biggest dps killers imo is lack of sustain.
After two rotations are you having to go into heavy attack mode to regain stamina?
Eternal hunt crafted set or bone pirate tatters dungeon drop set are both good for helping sustain

Basic question(maybe too basic?) - what is your weapon damage?

Are your weapons golded? Are you running weapon damage enchants on your jewellery?

What the first guy said, just start there. Follow the guide, look at the videos of the rotations. His beginner builds should allow you to hit 20k dps assuming you learn the rotation and have all the proper traits, foods, Mundus, race, at least a gold main hand weapon etc. Even his second choice build for Stam sorc which is briar heart and hundings is not hard to get. You will want to ether race change or start a new character at least. Dark elf is not good for Stam sorc.

    Easy to get build:
    • Head & Shoulder: Kra'ghs (FG1) (1pc heavy, 1pc light | Divines trait | Stamina Enchants)
    • Chest/legs/belt/feet/hands: Hundings Rage (Crafed | All medium | Health on chest, Stamina on others)
    • Jewellery: Spriggans (Bangkoria) (Robust | weapon damage)
    • Front bar: Spriggans Axe (Nirnhoned/Precise | Absorb Stamina) | Spriggans Dagger (Infused/Precise | Weapon damage)
    • Back bar: Spriggans Bow (Infused | Poison)
    Mundus : Warrior
Food: Dubious Camoran Throne (Max HP, Max Stam, Stam regen)
Potions: Weapon Power Potions (Increase Stam regen 20%, Weapon Damage 20%, Weapon Critical 10%) although trash pots will be fine (dropped stamina potions)

Make sure to gold your main hand as this will increase dps by a fair bit.

    Skills:
Front: Rearming Trap | Shrouded daggers | Blood Craze | Bound Armaments | Hurricane || Flawless Dawnbreaker
Back: Poison Injection | Razor Caltrops | Endless Hail | Bound Armaments | Critical Surge || (Ballista/Greater Storm Atronach)
    BnKudzD.png

    Rotation:
    Hurricane > Swap
    Surge > Hail > Caltrops > PI > Swap
    Trap > Rending > Daggers (x5) > Swap
    Hail > Caltrops > PI > Swap
    Trap > Rending > Daggers (x3) > Repeat

Light attack between every skill, Alcast has a tutorial on his YouTube regarding this, also watch a stamsorc parse, should help you out a bit too :)

EDIT: You mentioned vet dungeons, so you're CP160+, if you comment your CP I can help with allocating that too. You can refer to Alcast's guide as he lists cp300 + cp780 cp, so you can base around that.

This is solid advice - however, i dont think you need to double bar bound armaments anymore since summerset patch(?). The effect should carry over between bars.

Must be some more than just rotation here. 8k dps you can get by spamming light attacks. You have food buff and mundus stone active? Attributes in stamina?

I wouldn’t worry too much about changing your race. It’s true that dark elves don’t have the best racial passives for stam sorc, but they’re not totally irrelevant. My friend’s main is a dark elf stam sorc that’s around 50k dps. If you wanted to make a redguard stam sorc, you will likely find that that race is easier to dps with (bigger stamina pool+better stamina sustain), but it’s not like you can’t use a dark elf to be effective. Practice and patience will boost your dps far more than any race will.

Don't have to but there's nothing else really that can go there, the stamina bonus and bonus to light attacks imo is worth more than an extra sorc/FG skill for a bit more weapon damage.

Agreed, even with the change I still slot it both bars, I notice a dps loss without it on my backbar, it helps for pvp though if you want to squeeze out some more front bar dmg.

Only scenario I can think of is taking rearming trap and placing it on back bar with crit surge (I never take crit surge off) to clear a space to place deadly cloak.

Edit: @ OP I can break 40k dps self buffed on a test dummy, no cheese if you need help in game pc na.
