Add the ability to turn off zone chat

I'm sick of seeing all the toxicity in zone chat. Please give us a way to turn that off and see everything else like guilds and whispers.

There is a small cogwheel in the top right hang corner of the chat box (PC). Click on that, select options and untick "Zone" then exit.

I modified my chat box as said above - just unticked zone chat. Then I named that chat 'No Zone'. Then I created a second chat box with everything ticked and named it 'Zone'. The game defaults to your original chat box so 'No Zone' is normally what I'm on. I can, however, select my 'Zone' chat instead anytime and monitor zone chat.

I agree with zone chat being something I don't normally want because it is full of non-game stuff which is not why I play. It is a real shame though because I'd love to see the entries like: 'LF help at XYZ WB' or 'LF healer for XYZ dungeon'. But the toxic off topic spam is just not worth the irritation.

Yes, pc here and it works well as OP explained. No idea why they has not added it on console.
Granted I tend to leave it on even if it tend to be filled with guild invites in languages I don't understand.

That one took me some time to grasp. Its so easy after all.
However its overrated, most don't think very deep and interesting thoughts.

Could we please receive some feedback on this? This is an option players have been requesting for years. I am tired of the terrible zone chat we are forced to see on a daily basis. Constant sexism, creepiness and general garbage being hurled at everyone constantly. This is not difficult to implement, for the love of god ZOS, do something! If I have to see 1 more angry virgin harassing women or trying to sell bath water I will lose my GD mind!

Consoles and gamepad mode don't have the selective option on chat HUB: some players might want to turn off zone chat but others would like to turn off npc chat from chat HUB.

Please consider adding the selective options asap @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_GinaBruno
