Low Weapon Damage

So I’m a CP 226 / DK / Nord / 2hand+bow. I can’t help but feel super frustrated that I’ve been playing this game for years and I can’t seem to do much damage. Currently at my above stats, I’m showing a 1302 weapon damage. I know, embarrassing. I’m using mostly purple weapons and gear w/Warrior Mundus Stone. Currently have no Gold weapons or Gear. Any tips?

    warrior mundus stone
    damage weapon glyphs
sets that have weapon damage in it ( like shacklebreaker for example)
weapon damage glyph on one of weapons ( if infused, damage boost is 452 when it procs)

Get gold weapons. Enchant your jewelry with weapon damage. Slot flawless dawnbreaker. Wear 5 medium.

Good info, also: how do I make sure I don’t sacrifice Stamina while focusing on damage stats?

@D3spairFacTor , the post above has a point; make sure you wear at least 5 pieces of medium armor, since it's both about high weapon damage and stamina management. Great many other things work too - golding weapons bumps weapon damage some (golding anything else doesn't do a lot, so you can safely omit that altogether), berserker glyph will considerably bump your damage when in action. Divines trait on armor will amplify the Warrior effect. Make sure you run weapon damage glyphs on jewelry (jewelry is special in that its quality does not cap the glyph, so you can get a gold glyph's full effect on jewelry).

buy spriggin set blue jewelry *3 + two piece armor.
craft hunding rage set for weapons and remaining armor slot.
get guildie to help you run vWGT for helm, or just make do with vFG1 monster set.
    and go werewolf.

then you'll be doing 5 times higher dps than you now do.

Only for PvP. It’s not necessary for PvE

For PvE easiest setup that can one make is hundings+spriggan+selene, damage would be over 4.5k solo buffed, and with other boosts you get from group and a bit of practice you would go over 35k. this setup is good enough for farming any better, like vMA for bow, vCR 0 for relequen and vHRC for berserking warrior.

@D3spairFacTor , also, as a follow up... I shouldn't be saying that, but I still have to: play as you enjoy playing, but still consider going dual-wield for PvE. It is a damage bump compared to two-handed (something that I really hope future balance updates will fix, since I lot of people enjoy two-handed style and don't want to be handicapped).

Oh no one mentioned enchanting your jewellery with weapon damage? That's always the thing people forget.

I am finding it really easy to get people to run nCR and nHRC they are both short trials so if you want to upgrade to Relinquin and Berserking Warrior.

    @Narvuntien , mentioned. Twice. ^^

Relequen isn't bumping weapon damage per se (I figure it's specifically what the topic starter is asking about). But yes, it's the overall output that matters, weapon damage is just a particular component of the formula that is used to calculate the damage. Granted, it's an important component for stamina in particular (because it has arguably the biggest multiplier thanks to armor and FG passives).

A lot of really helpful information. Thank you so much. I really want to consider dual wield at this point. I feel I made a mistake going with 2h. I’ve invested so much into this one character that I may just swap to dual wield since I have 30 skill points un-spent.

2h is just fine. Dual Wield isn't going to get you the damage increase you want. Try all the other tips mentioned here first, unless you just really just don't like 2h. Change your jewelry glyphs to weapon damage. Increase the quality of your weapon (to purple or even gold if you intend on keeping it for a while). Use a beserker enchant on your weapon (the enchant that adds weapon and spell damage). Use full set gear (two 5-pc sets and a 2-pc set. 2-handed weapons count for 2 set bonuses) Also make sure your weapon is level-appropriate. In this game, as your character level gets farther ahead of your gear level, your gear stats get worse (slightly unintuitive).

Also understand that the Weapon Damage stat isnt the only stat that affects your damage output. Weapon Damage, Maximum Stamina, and Physical Penetration (to a point) all increase the damage of abilities that cost Stamina and attacks with melee weapons and bows. Spell Damage, Maximum Magicka, and Spell Penetration (to a point) increase the damage of abilities that cost magicka and the attacks of staves. Keep this in mind when choosing abilities or morphs to use. If you are stacking stamina and weapon damage in gear/enchants, then your magicka abilities likely wont do much damage and vice versa.

Yea stick with 2h, if youve been playing for years and only CP200 seems like you don't have that much available time so would be a total waste levelling it up.

Honestly - i've been running Hundings Rage body pieces and Briarheart weapon and jewelry on my new account... and it is great, i highly recommend it if you can get your hands on everything.

hundings medium armor - all divines - all medium armor passives
Briarheart Axe/Dagger - poison damage glyph on one, increase weapon dmg on other
increase weapon damage on all jewelry.

When Briarheart procs you get ~420ish (?) weapon damage, and you get healed from your crits - 610hp per crit.

Add that 420 to the weapon damage glyph on your off hand (348ish if you dont have an infused wep) + your damage boosts from the dual wield passives and medium armor passives, then add the rest of your extra weapon damage from your jewelry glyphs -- you get up to about ~6200 weapon damage.

Even if you can't get briarheart - hundings is a very good go to for stamdks, you will likely turn to it in many situations unless you are into endgame raiding where you can get your hands on Relequen and Advancing Yokeda weapons.
