Yesterday I had a very unique encounter with two of my wife's guild mates yesterday. One of the members of my wife's guild asked for a healer and tank for Fang lair. We sign up and ask if we can do it on vet for the motifs. The guy agreed and we started the dungeon. My wife and I are on our alt accounts and we just recently hit CP 600. The guy that asked for help was a 750 CP and his friend was a CP 385. We run to the first group to have a Revivefer ...reviverfer...revi...pfffffft (sorry about the spelling  ) That particular add enrages the rest of the adds after a few moments and it isn't very pretty when that happens.

My wife types " Take out the Revicefer #GetRekd....revi...pfffft first.(<---how ever you spell it) I mark the add with elemental drain and we run in. The other two group members go straight for the mob and completely ignores the marked add. The burn is slow (not judging) and she enrages the adds and the bodies hit the floor. After several out of body experiences, we finally make it to the bear boss and his hungry Senche friend . This particular fight and at this point, we're going to need mics to ask for and respond to bash request when the Senche starts munching on people.

My wife types " Mics?" (At this point, that's the second thing typed in group chat.) Then all hell breaks loose. The CP 385 types back " I don't need you telling me what to do!!" "I know MECHANICS!" " Just because you have higher CP than me, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing!" Then proceeds to run straight for the Senche without the team and gets dusted instantly like a bird into a windshield. The CP 385 then has the nerve to start spouting out commands. "Tank the Senche!" " I'm an 800 CP on the EU servers!" " I know what I'm doing!" The triggered team mate keeps wiping the team with the explosive dogs and the missus and I just called it quits.

It's weird, I've been talked down to and kicked at the start of a dungeon because of low CP. But never have I ever been judged and talk down to because I was at a higher CP level. Any of you ever have an experience like this before?

Don't make assumptions. 9 times out of 10, you'll be wrong.

A simple, "Everyone familiar?," or "Everyone know the mechanics?" would have cleared some of the confusion upfront.

Now if issues arise, then clarification can help, as there's usually something the group can do differently to adjust.

The automatic assumption that someone does/does not know what's going on, or judgement without knowing someone's experience level is usually half the problem.

Well meant additions like the "#GetRekt" may not be found as amusing to someone else as its well meant intent suggests.

I do agree that the CP300 was overreacting. Providing a bit of insight into his actual background would have helped upfront, as well.

To be honest I stopped doing anything more than a normal in a PUG a long time ago. In particular for HM / no deaths etc for this very reason. ESO folks have weird ego issues oddly much worse in PvE than PvP.

Yep. Playing with jerks is something you deal with in MMO's.
Makes you more appreciative when you have good people to run with. And by good I'm not talking about skill, but attitude.

Nobody typed that. I used it here because I don't know the correct spelling to the add ;).

A simple, "Everyone familiar?," or "Everyone know the mechanics?" would have cleared some of the confusion upfront.

You'll be surprised. People get triggered or give attitudes for asking :-D

I've dealt with my fair share of jerks. hahaha. But that was a little weird. Reverse CPism!

We don't need a tank. I'm running Alcast's build and I am CP 1822 on AU servers!

Lol Gotcha. (I'm fairly convinced the name of that add was inspired on the 90 second walk to the surprise naming presentation, after no one got the memo.) ;)

Some people are gonna get stirred up simply by typing "Hello." Kick if they're not guildies, respectfully bow out if they are.

No one should be getting stirred up over helpful advice, or request for voice comms on an otherwise tricky dungeon. It's pretty standard fare, unless everyone's done the run 1000 times.

Blow it off and move on. Sounds like he wasn't worth you or your wife's time.

(I used to try to salvage something like this. Now, once I realize someone's not interested in learning or adjusting to accommodate a group clear, I simply depart. Save your wisdom for those that will appreciate it.)

    Best of luck!

    We here in my advice,

I fine it's easier to lead people in risky secanarios. Assume they don't know it like you do.

Now my thoughts never had this happen, but looks like other party was stressed and worried and vented frustration at you. They are thinking they ate struggling harder for success than you, but at last that fight is a team effort.

So better luck next time for all of you!

Yeah I have come across this before, I think there is an addon (I dont use it) That shows people's real cp..

I'm over 1000 and with the new dungeons that just had come out, had some random people from some of the guilds I am in just assume I knew how to do them on vet and HM.

When I said no I haven't even done them yet, I got all manner of fluff in the chat. Water of a ducks back with this one...does not bother me one bit...

...I was just like...."we can try....if in doubt I can google mechs" lol

And then there's the thing that a character automatically gets the CP of your main once they hit 50 so people just assume you're totally uber with them even though it may be your first healer char and you don't even have all the skill lines maxed. :D
