Would you like ZOS to revamp ESO graphics for NVidia RTX in a year or two?

Please take into account that the new hardware will become cheaper much sooner than people will stop playing The (OMG, I can't dare to finish this phrase!)

Dude the 2080 costs as much as my entire Computer. :/

Honestly I think hardware evolution needs to slow down a bit, or more effort needs to be put into the consumer end of the market, not the "I spent $3,000 on my Rig cause Master Race pleb!" market.

I bet it'll become cheaper much sooner than people will stop playing The (OMG, I can't dare to finish this phrase!)
I can't spend $2K or $3K myself, but when I can upgrade, I do that, for I enjoy nice graphics in nice games very much.

Revamping graphics to suit a specific piece of hardware would be a very poor choice. Current hardware can support revamped graphics and still include the console players.

Game developers don’t exactly make the game for what will be in a few years but for what is now. It just wouldn’t make sense for them to upgrade the game to something most do not have and will jt has for awhile.
    Really, idk

    Graphics seem fine to me.

Shoot, I should have asked "Would you like ZOS to revamp ESO graphics for NVidia RTX in a year or two?".

So damn costly for a high end PC now. The GPU being the biggest cost. 1080ti's are still $1400 where I live. Glad I can still run this game on my 7 year old PC with a 4gb card.
Your immersion is breaking my entitlement.

Considering that the graphics already aren't up to the level of pushing the current "top" cards, there'd be no point in them trying to improve for the RTX cards.

Also, the cheapest of the announced cards is $600. That's already approaching 'crazy enthusiast' levels. The % of players who have those cards is going to be small for quite some time.

(and yeah, this is all ignoring the part where the graphics are fine. Mass-audience MMOs tend to aim for a lower point, so that they can get everyone. Let Metro & Crysis go for the "crushes ubercards for fun" audience.)

(and yeah, this is all ignoring the part where the graphics are fine. Mass-audience MMOs tend to aim for a lower point, so that they can get everyone. Let Metro & Crysis go for the "crushes ubercards for fun" audience.)

Which is really important. I mean, MMOs depend on a broad install base. If you're telling someone they can't play your game because their system isn't good enough, that's not an ongoing revenue stream, to keep the game going. A game like Crysis or Metro can turn a profit by moving a set number of copies. That's not true with MMOs at all. You need subscribers. (Or players engaging with the cash shop.)

So, when you start cutting the bottom out you're harming your ability to keep the lights on.

There's a second consideration. These are rare cards. It's going to be awhile before these this level of tech is going to be everywhere. You're talking about throwing a lot of money at a handful of users. The money just isn't there to overhaul the graphics. Maybe in a few years, it might be time to reevaluate where technology is, and upgrade, but for now? Not a good idea.

why????? ESO cant even use my whole GPU now......I have to use DSR just to get the game to use over 50% of my gpu and even then it will not hold down high framerates in populated areas. Also WTH is up with the flowing edge aliasing in this game.

I really want the lol button back sometimes. My 2 years old gtx 1070 laughs to ESO at 4K ultra and it also laughs at your post.

Server side lag has not much to do with gpu. What would this even accomplish other than pulling a middle finger to people with bad gpus?
