Ouroboros Crown Crate !?!?

I begin to have some doubts about these crates, it is normal that with the bonus crate, (i talk about the one in the middle, the one in which the mount can go out if you're lucky) i got the repair kit?
Is not that by chance the smart guys of ZOS have lowered, a little too much, the possibility of getting something different from the useless potions?
I'm full of useless potions with these crates and i must also see how they wipe +10 times in the last boss of March of Sacrifices ..... now someone will say that they are free, ok, but do at least the same or similar to crates that are paid ...or not?

Yeah, I've been excited to see a 5th card and gotten some junk in there, too. It's normal. Just convert this stuff to gems and eventually you'll have enough to buy something nice.

These crates have a much smaller drop table than the normal ones. They either drop junk like potions and repair kits or the mount, nothing else. And since the drop rate for the mount is very low there's a good chance you'll get nothing but junk from the crate.

The Repair Kit is considered to be a "Fine" reward.

The Ouroboros crates do not have the same tiers of rewards as the paid crates. The paid crates have the junk consumables, blue, purple, gold, and apex tiers. The crates from watching the streams have the junk consumables tier and a small chance at the apex mount.

Its basically a way to get extra gems or consumables while hoping to get lucky.

Why don’t you convert the useless items into gems and then pick what you want?

I am actually using the tristat potions from them for my tank because crafted ones are so expensive.

My understanding is there is an exceptionally rare chance to get certain "good" things (I recall mention of a special mount), but overall these are very basic hand-outs. Consumables and such. Since I don't use the Crown Store consumables, these get immediately converted into Gems.

As others have mentioned, this isn't entirely a bad thing. Since Oroborous Crates are essentially freebie handouts for certain activities (like watching Twitch streams), it's a way to get things from the Crown Crates that does not require you spend actual cash on the crates themselves.

I approve of this. Sure, it may take some time, but having a way to get something you would otherwise have to spend cash on, even if this isn't the BEST way to do it, is still good to see. The math feels like it would take a very long time to build up the 400 needed for one of the big mounts, but those are in the Apex category for a reason, so I can't really complain. And I believe other mounts were at 100 gems? Which is a bit more realistic a goal if you are purely trying to get a Crown Crate mount without spending a single penny.

Without thinking in that direction, though, I can see why some folk look at the contents of the Oroborous crates and feel completely underwhelmed.
