Armor with auras

So with the new weapon packs we get a constant aura while drawn. Personally I’m a fan of flashy things so I was drawn in. The other day in cyro there was an animation glitch where this guys illambris mask was constantly on fire on the top. It was really really cool and unique and it made me wonder if this should become the next thing like the weapons pack. Would this be something you would want???

The servers are already poorly optimised and laggy as is. Im not against the idea.. just think they should focus on fixing the servers first before adding more bugs.. err features

Yeah. They need to seriously do some optimization. Now, lag for me is due to satband (all I have) but i played both WoW and RIFT for years (2005 to 2015) and during that decade, my sat connect was WORSE than what I have now. Yep, I LOVE this game.... but - it doesn't run as well as those two games did.... on a much better machine and connection. *sigh*

Barring the usual people who like to derail threads for their own personal agendas, I wouldn't be against having glowing, flashy armor and auras, so long as they're somewhat refined, reserved, and only over the top in a tasteful way. I know that's subjective, but I don't want to see this game's aesthetic turn into WoW.

The art team is the only part of ZOS that isn't completely subverted, I'd like to keep it that way.

They should have the opportunity to grow with the game.

The walking funfairs called mounts are more than enough. I still have hope they won't sprinkle armours with more and more particle effects until those, too, turn into mobile light shows.

Personally it's a no from me. I like the more dark gritty low fantasy look TES games often have, it's bad enough that we have mounts and pets which are getting shinier and shiner to make sales.

I don't want SWTOR* again, where it went from lore fitting to everyone wearing wacky and neon hair to drive store sales.

I would rather have cloth physics than silly auras. Neither will happen though because ESO performance can't handle it because it is weak.

I remember "no enchant glow" being a very popular mod for TES3 Morrowind (or if it was Oblivion, can´t remember for sure).

By removing the twilight pets from game the lag should significantly drop, so this first, then armor auras please .

Preferrably the way similar to how Master Sword works.

It was popular for a reason.

It was one of the first mods I downloaded for Skyrim. The realistic and aesthetically pleasing visuals of ESO is one of the few things that keep me in this game. No thanks to more freak shows. There's already plenty of garish neon coloured armor people with glowy purple skins and neon glowy VFX mounts. Don't need more of this.

You two, all the server does is tell the client what armor the characters are wearing. It's the client that takes the info and processes how that will exactly look on screen.

No, i'd prefer to be able to see what's happening in the game. Every bit of added glow, flash, swirl etc. reduces the ability to see what the characters are doing, and react properly.

If they ever did that, I would want any armor aura make stealth impossible because of the "oooooh, look how special I am, look at me, everyone" effect

I thought you meant auras as in the armour has a built in aoe permanent aura that had some (minor) effect. Aura of increased healing, Aura of fear, Aura of regen, etc...

That would be cool.

Well i don't no about a head only glow but when i see some one using the slime-claw monster set i imagine they are Sho'nuff and when i use Channeled Focus i am like Leroy Green and would love to keep it on 24/7
