Hello. I Am A New Player And This Is The First Time I Have Been Present For A Patching Of The Game.

1. I Would Like To Know What Is Being Changed To See If Any Of It Applies To Me. Where Can I Find This Information?

2. I Would Also Like To Know If Patches Like These Are Common. My Download Is 2043 MB, Which Will Take Me Possibly Two Days Of Uninterrupted Downloading To Complete.

ZOS patches the game with new material every quarter. Usually one of these updates is a larger “chapter” with a new storylines and quests and other major changes. The last one of those was Summerset; last year the chapter was The Morrowind expansion.

The other three quarterly updates are smaller. This one adds two new dungeons and various other changes, as described in the thread linked above.

They also patch the game on other occasions, usually to fix things that are causing problems.
