How long is this ongoing Maintenance? I know it is in progress and when it started but I didn't see anywhere how long it would take aprox.?

    Last one start 2 hours earlier then normal and last for around 7 hours.

    it always takes hours. never a single hour, always hours, and nobody can guess how many this time.

    The typical span is either, four hours, or eight hours.

    Either the maintinence is done in around four hours like it usually is and the game is up by around eight in the morning. Or, it goes down for an extra four and the game comes up around noon.

    This is barring any points where the game has to go down -after- that-. Which sometimes happens. The basic explination is avoid the game on patch day, download it within the following three and play then.

    From my experience major patch maintenance lasts longer than the weekly maintenance, since both the server and client software undergo much more significant changes. I'd say it should be at least 6 hours. I remember one DLC where the server was down for a full 12 hours. Even if the server is up, the patch takes a while to download on your client. If you have a good internet connection that should take only 20-30 minutes, but if you are on ADSL or some of the older solutions, it can take a few hours. Sometimes they restart the server one more time later after it comes online and do an additional hot patch if things don't work properly; PTS doesn't really allow for full server load tests so that happens sometimes. So I'd say find something nice to do and don't plan anything important for tonight in game.

    Sorry? I'm new to ESO and I'm used to publishers giving an estimate for a duation of maintenances.
    But if Zenimax don't give an ETA, okay. I guess we'll just have to wait then :x
