Hey guys :> Like everyone else i'm pursuing the AY set,only later realyzing that it comes only with healthy trait. I don't own summerset thus I don't have access to jewlery crafting. Is there any point for me to use that set anyway? If no and in general what is the other bis gear i can get for mystamblade (talking about also monsterset + body armor set)

If you do not have access to summerset, then you not only do not have access to jewelrycrafting, but also to the best stam set in the game which is reloquen. That will severely cripple your dps. Your best bet is combining any of the following: briarheart,hundings, leviathan, war machine. You can also use TFS and just swap to warrior for your mundus.0 -

To be quite frank if you don't wanna pay for dlcs you wont ever be competitive. That doesnt mean you cant raid, it just means you wont really compete with the best or be in good guilds. Also DLCs introduce new raids, meaning no dlc no raid. Finally calling $20 [which is what you would spend on lunch for 2 people at chipotle (lol)] as overpriced is pretty strange considering how many hours of entertainment it brings...2 -

the Leviathan set is nearly as good as AY and easily farmable in crypt of hearts
Relequen is great on bosses you can sit and spam your LA weaves on and isn't great on anything else.
Someone can craft you Hunding's and you can farm Leviathan. get Selenes (if you dont have access to cradle of shadows, then I recommend velidreth if you run a bow because it procs on all damage not just melee).

Chibs✭✭✭✭A buddy of mine uses Briarheart/Twice Fanged Snake/Kra’gh on all of his Stam builds and hits 42-45k dps. You can buy Briarheart on traders and Twice Fanged drops in a non dlc trial (Sanctum Ophidia). However, it is easier to be competitive when you have access to dlc. I don’t have Summerset so I also don’t get to use sets such as AY because of jewelry crafting, but I have all the others so I use War Machine/Automaton/Veli it Selenes. Sometimes it’s hard me to fork out money to buy dlcs, so another thing you could do is buy crowns from people.
What this means is let’s say you want the Dragon Bones dlc which is 1500 crowns. Find someone you trust, agree on a price, and purchase that item from someone for x amount of gold. This is a accomplished by the person “gifting” the dlc to you. I’ve done this a couple times already. Crowns usually go for about 100-130 gold per crown in most cases with the high end going for 150 per. I only buy crowns from people if they are 100-130 gold per though.
So if you buy 1500 crowns from someone at a rate of 130 gold per crown, you are paying 195,000 gold for a 1500 crown dlc.
I just yesterday bought a 1500 crown dlc from someone for 160,000 which was at the very good price of I think about 106 gold per crown.Edited by Chibs on August 9, 2018 10:34PM1 -

I pay first yes. And I’m not sure how to answer how do you find someone that you trust.
I tend to go into my guilds and buy from people that I know are good people and not scammers. If you get scammed you can submit a ticket to ZOS.

assuming you're talking about a raid setup (so no penetration sets) and no access to DLC, I'd use Briarheart/Hundings + Vicious Ophidian
if you're seriously pursuing top-tier DPS I'd consider subbing for a bit, or buying individual dlc when they go on sale

The difference is that in dungeons you should ideally have more penetration since you won't be getting enough from your group. In a min/maxed raid your group members ideally fully penetrate the bosses for you so you don't want to build any into your setup.0 -
