Rolled Back & made my Warden Ice Tank, is my idea for id ferry bad?

Rolled Back & made my Warden Ice Tank (i was building just DPS mage, i have way to many DPS chars, who only do DPS :D, wanted to make something different), but still i want to get as much DPS out of it as possible so i have a idea it would be interesting mix Ebon Iceheart & Winterborn (winterborn have to be staves & jewels cause rest is light armor, to avoid light its perfect), they do benefit tank to a bit like damage shield & also ice damage

well it bit early for this discussion cause hes bit over lvl 30, but i ask anyway :D

like in future would i be rejected from trials cause of this set mix (is it that bad)?

but i do like to optimize to get best out of it, good dam even with tank, but don't get me wrong, i don't expect to be as good as pure DPS chars :)

my light armor is currently 41 so not hard to change back later to try ice DPS cause 41 is quite good

i also wonder would becoming vamp do me harm or good, i ask cause of the 25% weakness to fire damage stage 4 & 75% slower hp regen, maybe its suited more for build mentioned in a video below

or should i go for this (try this)?

It depends entirely on who you're doing trials with.

Most pick up groups are going to expect you to match the cookie cutter standards established, and end game progression guilds might also expect you to use more standardised support sets as that's more the tanks roles.

That said, if you're playing with friends or a guild willing to try new things as long as you can hold agro, not die then you're doing you base job. Everything past that is just how much you're supporting the group and what their expectations are.

I've got a Warden tank in Ebon + IA right now. She's shockingly squishy, but I can keep her alive. (I'd be better off if I switched her monster set to Chudan.) Your approach isn't that different, so it is a semi-viable (if difficult) option. (To be fair, the IA thing was mostly because I ran out of decent weapons, and had some IA melee gear lying around.) It's fun. Not meta, but fun.

i forgot to mention, some put points to all stats like always title bit HP or magic or both with stam build & with magic build a bit of stam, but the reverse is more rare & more common is just 2 stats HP is still taken, but i am a type who always takes either stam or magic & no health, for DPS i will just get 2 pieces from another set that gives bit over 1k HP & use food in dung that give over 5k hp & magica & stam, i think it gave all 3, i never sacrifice damage with stats, i am just set against it for some reason :D

so even with Tank i never take HP, i once so some1 mentioned this in discussion as DK tank stam higher but u half to take all stats or ur crap tank, that made me laugh & didn't say a thing (i just read without response), not in my discussion, but i would half to say, if that were true & would never even try a Tank (i couln't imagine soloing with a stat build like he mentioned), i guess he had hes vision of a good tank

With tanks, you're usually more concerned with the resulting stats, than how you got there. Ideally you want around 20k in Stam and Mag, with around 30-35k health (after food and other persistent buffs.)

Tanking also supports hybrid loadouts better than any other role. You're more concerned with the utility you get from a skill rather than the damage it deals. (And every class has a self heal that scales with your max health, though the Warden version is underwhelming.)

I play an ice warden with ice staff. And me and my bf nearly 2 manned a group dungeon called banished cells(i think) and we are only lvl 20. Made it up the second guard you have to save. Beat the first boss with the first guard, and beat the lizard thingy with the benkin with everything up. We did die a few times, but mostly due to player error not lack of skill. If i had sloted a bit more dps and he slotted a heal we coulda 2 manned it.

Imo i think it viable. And i don't tank as people suggest, i taunt everything and had lil issue keeping myself up.

in a way that is Tanking to, well u could run with light armor to, if ur not if u avoid melee mobs getting close, running trough like some DPS sorc using pulsar u know what i mean, this vid proved its possible with light, if i decide to del my melee Tank in favor of this i make a 3th warden DPS ice mage light armor to ofc

yesterday i did a lot of random dung just for xp, i ended up in white tower more then once, but what surprised me i got 1 or 2 or 3 lvl's & when i got back the final boss incinerated me with one hit with something i didn't see even coming, is it cause i lvl's up so my resistances went bit down cause my armor is not 100% to my lvl, does this little really matter? can tank really die even when they block? i always thought its not possible at least in PVE

WGT is about mechanics, as are all DLC dungeons. dunno where exactly you died, but it probably is an intended one-shot mechanic.

Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.
