What is the stance on Selling Crowns for In-game Gold

I have been searching the forums for an answer on this issue and have not found yet a response from ZOS. I would just like to know if anyone has any more information on this matter.

I for one am fine with this. The accumulation of crowns after a purchase stacks up and some people have no more use for them or would rather put their money elsewhere in the game.
Its great for people who are buying crowns. Its also great for people who would like to grind the game and then be able to purchase DLC. I don't see the harm in this at all.

I have a few crowns left over and simply asked zone chat if anyone was interested. A few responded, and were fine to fork out some gold to buy dlc. But then I was met with hostility and stupidity.... constantly. People telling me that I'm a scammer before I even offered them anything, People saying that they are reporting me and What I'm doing is Illegal. I am cancer this I am cancer that, Go k.i.l.l myself...... really people calm down. All I did was ask the question.

So if a @ZOS_GinaBruno could shed some light? It would be much appreciated. I feel like a simple answer would save the reporting team much headache in the future.

Trading in-game items for in-game items does not break the TOS.

I just think zos should make it an ingame feature so less people get scammed.
It's being done anyway so we should make sure the system is safe

I would support this - there are plenty of people out there, who pay for ESO+, but are not really interested into cosmetic items and other fluff in the crown store. For them it would eventually be helpful, if they could just get something else for it - not necessarily gold, but eventually even barter for something else, which is otherwise hard to acquire for them. A system supporting this would be helpful IMO.

Problem is gold scammers were spamming text chat before - and we all hate them.

ZOS introduce gifting, and dont clearly communicate that its cool for Crowns to Gold - just in a comment in a thread. I know on console at least a VERY small % of people come on this forum.

Thus if you are talking about 'selling gold' etc its pretty standard you will get some heat on it. It sounds suspect to anyone that doesnt know about the change.

Which incidently they have allowed to reduce illegal gold sellers (I think)
