First off, I am not a pvp'er. I rarely step into battlegrounds and its been at least a year or so since I have done so. Cyrodiil, I will visit more often just to level the skills.
However, with Cyrodiil pretty much unplayable, I have turned to BG's for my AP harvesting needs. I earned more AP in BG's in the same amount of time I was in Cyrodiil. 500k vs 250k AP over a couple of hours.
Some things I learned yesterday...
1. It is much more rewarding to run a battleground and lose, than to play my horse riding simulator and die horribly to SIEGE.
2. Battlegrounds suck because of the amount of SLOADS. (seriously, no one is running anything else, except maybe me?!)
Not being a pvp'er at heart, I know some will not like this comment, but...
If they just nerfed the amount of damage siege does to players (not structures) Cyro would be improved. Yes, yes... I am aware of the amount of fix/nerf sloads threads there are (soon), but I think fixing/nerfing siege might help too? Mind you, I have taken a lot of breaks from the game, if siege has been reworked recently, I missed it. A true pvp'er can probably speak to this better than myself, but it's a thought.
My recommendation for the rest of the event is to run some battlegrounds, accept that you are going to get sloaded in the kneecap, take the AP and don't look back at Cyrodiil.
