What is the latest thoughts on Ebon armory weapons?

While gathering up some set ideas for tanks, I have been collecting pieces and seeing how to put them together in nice 5 5 2 set ups....

Now while looking over sets I keep seeing people say not to use Ebon armory on weapons due to bar swap causing a break in buff, now all the threads i have found on this are from 2017 and earlier and I know there had been a fix, but people still swore (at least in 2017) it was still bugged.

So before i go mad trying to farm an ebon sheild to go with the pieces i already have...

Can anyone say for sure that having this on both bars works or doesn't work now.

Tried this in late 2017 and despite it didnt break my own HP, the buff on my teammates was gone for a short period. I guess they fixed it partially. Anyway, it should be on both bars, so why bother darming weapons instead of just have it on armor? Especially with sets like dragon, PA, Jorvuld etc, which dont need to be on both bars and open some interesting setups with maelstrom/master weapons

well i was hoping to run it on an ice tank, that would swap frost staff and sword and sheild....and my other set is winterborn so getting weapons for that is next to impossible. I already have ebon ice staff and several other weapons resto, bow mace maul......just was hoping to use them, may have just scrap the idea of ebon on that toon and move to another.

Well, Winterborn is more of a fun option than endgame tank set, so I guess this build is for 4ppl dungeons rather than trials. In this case Ebon is not that strong and is not needed either. So yes you can leave it for vet trials for different build and use something else with Winterborn istead. Good options are Jorvuld, Dragon (both for buffing warhorn), Torug, Galenve, Powerful assault or Alcosh (if you have a healer in your group). All of them will buff party's DPS, so are very handy

The bug they fixed is that bar swapping no longer removes the health buff from the player. The bug that they did not fix, which still exists today, is that bar swapping briefly drops the health buff from your allies. It's incredibly unlikely that this would ever cause a death, but most people avoid running the Ebon weapons anyway.
