The combat and control system, and the cosmetic/aesthetic customization potential.

That's really about it. Everything else I love about ESO really belongs to the Elder Scrolls as a franchise, like the lore.

I return for the friends I play with tbh, this game doesn't feel like an ES title to me even though they are using the lore. Other games have been stealing my attention significantly over the past year.

The story lines of the faction quests.

PVP. That one surprised me as I was originally never going to PVP, but eventually I tried it enough and found a guild to run with. Now, I PVP regularly. Its one of the parts of the game I love the most, enough that I put up with the persistent performance issues.

    1. Actual quests (not just fetch this or kill that with no context or purpose)
    2. Action combat (I hate tab target combat with an intense passion)
    3. A good amount of endgame content (32 dungeons, 2 arenas, and 7 raids, with more constantly coming out)
    4. The graphics are pretty good for an MMO

It's hard to quantify. I've played TES since Arena (and I still play Oblivion and Skyrim as well as Morrowind though it's a bit difficult - and Arena or Daggerfall are just not really possible on my current machine as DosBox does not play well with win10) so ESO just "fits". And the graphics are.... marvelous.

I do love the quests - though because my "broadband" is satellite, I'm usually not able to get through the "end boss" part of things; two second lag just causes serious issues no matter what you do - and.... One Tamriel means that, unlike WoW and RIFT, where you can just get a few levels and go back to complete something, well... you can't in this game.... because the end boss is still just as problematic with two second lag since it levels with you.

Still, it's TES. I love it.

On the subject of your internet, if you have a decent mobile phone service where you’re at, you might be able to use your phone as a mobile hotspot for gaming, rather than being forced to use your satellite internet.

I too live in an area in which we have to use a satellite connection for our home’s main internet, and I suffered through ridiculous amounts of lag for years until I began using my iPhone’s WiFi hotspot (With Verizon as my provider). Can’t stress enough how much of a difference it made for me.

The stories, quests, scenery, voice actors, animation, combat, crafting, cosmetics, housing, music, and all the little things you find off the beaten path. I love coming across a small setting that tells the story just by looking at it.

Also, the Bosmer and really all the mer (including orcs) got a major attractiveness overhaul with this Elder Scrolls title. Also the lore and mythology can get pretty wacky and pretty profound. There’s too much I love about this game.

I also love the Nightblade and Warden classes. My main is a Templar healer because that is easiest but I have the most fun on the other two. Nightblade is essentially how I played my longest Skyrim run and Warden was basically the mod I was working on at the time.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I've been playing since launch, and I just love the overall feel of the game and its world. I've played the TES games since Arena and that's certainly a part of the attraction, but from a solo/cooperative PvE point of view it's just a wonderfully crafted game. It looks simply stunning and as a non-PvPer I have never had any significant performance issues. I knew at launch that it would be my main (but not only) MMO home for years and so it has proved thus far.

.It might sound silly, but I am enjoying to see that this game is getting more and more popular and the amount of people who actually play the game in all aspects of it is rising. Less and less of the free loader type, and more and more of those, who express themselves and their characters in a variety of ways. The game world is getting more and more vibrant, ok, I do not like most of the overly glowing fluff, ZOS is offering, but the amount of this stuff seen in the game world shows clearly, that this game will be around for a very long time to come and that is really good to know - I can still take my time with it and don't have to rush in any way.
