So it took me 59 keys to get the Ilambris shoulder outfit style...

Case in point it took me a total of 59 keys to get the shoulder piece and I am wondering how many others have experienced like this or greater? Also this is just for one shoulder outfit...

I think I got like 4 of them in 24 keys. Can't even sell them for 22k, gotta lower it a bit.

I haven't started doing pledges for shoulders yet but I have actually been enjoying grinding for the helmet. It's strange but I keep making friends with people in the pug groups and playing with the same ones all night. Two days of doing this and still no helmet though. XD

I got the shoulder with my second key and whistled a happy tune out of there. No flaming luck with the mask tho!

You know I just don't understand 1 thing. We (players) always whines that monster masks look ugly, hence we bought costumes, next we got an outfit and now people complain about not being able to get said monster style outfits easy way...

Ignorance is bliss, I do not even bother farming them and getting pissed off about having low drop rate is because I wouldn't use them anyway. I like my chars to look nice. But hey I am not saying you shouldn't use it! If you like it go for it.

I used 7 keys and got 2 pages, the first key dropped a page AND a harmony ring. Luck was with me..

I agree, I just can't understand this. We wanted outfits to hide monster shoulders and now we want monster shoulder outfits??

Took me 16 keys. So, a little steep, but I can live with that. Haven't started working on the helm, though. I've got a couple with the hard mode clear already, so I just need to run it on vet a few times. Fortunately, there's a few pieces in there that I can use, so it shouldn't be a full wash.

My sympathies. I can relate. It took me seventy-something to get a Grothdar shoulder piece back when I was trying to get my first Grothdar set. It got to be a joke. I didn't even care about the weight or the trait...I just wanted a whole set.

Later of course, when it was some other shoulder piece I wanted, Grothdars came easily. Ah...RNG. What a weird-ass system for acquiring gear.

I've had extremely good luck on monster pieces, usually never needed more than 7 or so to get what I wanted.

Could be worse. I remember someone a year ago complaining about how the chest kept spitting out Lord Warden, and they'd thrown 90 or 100 keys at the chest trying to get Stormfist.

It took me 2 keys.... so guess I got lucky.

3 hard modes to get the mask.

Not sure what the odds are, but they can't be that bad if I had such good luck on both. I'm usually pretty luckless.

My girlfriend got hers in three keys. For me it took 18. (I know, I said 16 earlier, I forgot I burned three keys on an alt, before moving over and burning 15 on my tank. So 18, no idea where the 16 number came from, aside from, "d'oh.")

The Mask dropped on my third run.
I'll consider myself extremely lucky.

Ouch!!
Pretty sure Stormfist drops from Gilirion - and Lord Warden drops from Urgalarg. So that sounds like 100 totally wasted keys on the wrong chest.

I always remind people to make sure they're in the right chest.

There's a note tacked onto the post to the right of the chests that show which chests correspond to which dungeons. Best piece of parchment in the game. I still look at it from time to time, because little sucks worse than circumstances like the above.

Regarding the OP, 15 keys got me one harmony neck, the motif, and a handful of divines shoulders (a duplicate of which has gone missing into the aether and being searched for by CS at this time.)

I'm not lacking in keys or stones, it's just the principle.

I had one key left at all, didnt get the shoulders motif of course. But then, it hit me. I went to a guild trader and bought them for 20k. Miss me with that grind.

Btw, even if i had 700 spare keys, i would buy it for gold. With the Doggo-DLC right around the corner i would spend keys for actual gear.

The question is; Why did you want them? IMHO it's one of the ugliest looking monster sets. I'm really not impressed with the style pages. If I want to look like I'm wearing Illambris, I'll play my Sorc who actually wears Illambris.
