✭Why the hell did they ever put them there then?!! God that's disgusting!
They were a handout for early adopters. It's pretty common on any sort of expensive DLC or expansion - throw something in that clearly shouldn't be there, let the people willing to pony up early benefit for a while, then say "oops, we goofed" and reel it back in.
Putting it in was intentional, and taking it away was just as intentional. -

✭✭The wardrobes are still there...but they are nearly all empty. I counted 8 with stuff in out of the whole room.
