Midyear mayhem 20th thru 31st?

I've been watching for news on midyear mayham. I haven't seen anything. Did I miss the announcement?

They postponed it because of console performance issues afaik

Yeah until Cyrodiil won't implode it makes sense not to run it. That's the right operational decision I think

Actually, they didn't say they would postpone it, Gina said they would hold off until after the console patch and then see if they need to do so.

We'll move Midyear Mayhem if we need to, and will make that call after the patch goes up and we have time to evaluate the current state.

Reading between the lines, this means they have no clue if this console patch this week will fix anything or not.

Considering it ran fro July 22 to July 31 last year...I’m not sure why y’all think it would be Earlier this year....

If the event existed for just half the player base the other would rightfully feel frustrated. That's why they extended the Jubilee event for all players a few months ago though was only EU-PC which got long downtimes. And the PvP performance on PC isn't stellar either, escpecially on Vivec, not only due to the high load but also the overburden of CP calculations. I hope all temporary campaigns they add would be no-CP for this reason.

I had soooo much fun in this event last year and it was the reason I needed to finally try PVP. I actually kept PVPing after the event ended for some time and was doing PVP more than PVE which was a complete 180 for me.

However the performance issues were a nightmare last year and Cyrodiil has only gotten worse since then. I appreciate that the Devs are at least seemingly cognizant of the issues and willing to try and get some fixes before launching this event again.

But I have my reservations and while I think there might be some fun to be had, Midyear Mayhem will probably end up being even more frustrating now than it was last year. I mean who doesn't love crashing during a 30 minute fight only to log back in and find out you missed a 100k+ AP tick, grand times.

Oh, lets not forget the battlegrounds achievement was bugged for like half the event as well and no extension or compensation was made for those who got the achievement, or missed out on getting it due to that blunder. Here's hoping a similar bug doesn't crop up again this year.

There are several pig related quests if you're looking for ham, even though its no longer May. If you're looking for Midyear Mayhem, they've said that the event will be postponed until they are sure the server is stable enough to handle it, but I expect well see an official announcement within the next week or two.

Ya. That's what I was thinking. The article been circulating around my guilds. People are getting all worked up about rewards and server issues. With no official from zos I don't trust it.

Nitpicking here, but technically even if it were on time it wouldn't have taken place in the month of Midyear. (That's June; July is Sun's Height.)
