PC/NA Sanded Ruby Ash prices

For the last week or so I've noticed the giant amount of sanded ruby ash wood I've had has slowly diminished after only ever having gone up. I figured it was RNG, just getting a bad throw of the dice with surveys. It used to be I got too many wood surveys and not nearly enough cloth. I thought, no big deal I'll just buy some if I run out.

Well, apparently there must be some bug where this is happening to everyone and some, um.. enterprising people went and bought it all up. Anyone know what's going on?

I was wondering the same, I used to have stacks upon stacks, somehow I ran out and you can hardly find them on merchants. could be a botguild buying them all and pushing up prices like culandula, but I don't know

fact is that price is going up from 2k for 200 to 10K+ suddenly

Rather than go with your theory, my theory would be that people arent farming nodes as much as they use too with summerset still being fairly new. As for your personal stash you might just be getting really unlucky.But ive generally found that surveys alone are not enough to support daily writs in any profession and never have been.

I bought quite a lot of sanded ruby ash stacks for around 3k ea as soon as the ESO+ trial was announced because I don't subscribe and that was a handy way to refill my crafting bag.

So that may explain what's happened to some of the usual supply if other players did the same thing.

My experience is similar, I had so much ruby ash that I never even bothered harvesting it outside of surveys, but I have always struggled to keep enough Ancestor Silk banked to get through a week of writs. This weekend I ran out of ash for the first time ever, but I attributed it to my failure to harvest it as frequently as I do the other mats. In retrospect, I don't remember getting as many ww surveys lately.

But my experience differs from yours in that I was able to find plenty in guild traders with prices "in the white" in mm, and bought several stacks for 3k apiece.

Fortunately, or unfortuantely, I only do top tier writs on one character, and all the rest do Tier 1. Never run out of mats other than Raw Jute, and I have to do a couple weeks worth on the other 14 for that to happen.

Anyway, wood has never been an issue, just cloth.

I'm seeing ruby ash all over the place. I refined over 700 over the weekend, none from surveys. I'm not too concerned that surveys for wood might not be dropping as often.

If people are buying it at high prices, maybe I should get rid of some of the 6k plus I've accumulated.....

I keep running across wood nodes (along with all the others). Makes questing really hard with all the gathering I have to do along the way.

I looked up some pricing for wood, and I'm sorry to say OP. Your shopping in the wrong place. Rawl Ka is the most over-priced greed-ridden bunch of rip-off's for any item. I've found stacks of 200 for as low as 7.5 g per piece. 1.5k for a stack.

People aren’t farming Ash and other nodes as much since jewelry crafting came out. That’s why you’re not finding Ash for sale. Everyone wants ore and seams. Ha they don’t even want the ore, they just want the seams to spawn!

If they are wanting jewelry nodes they’re not gonna stop and pick up Ash or Silk. The competition is too high and another player would “snipe” it from them. So they avoid the other nodes entirely.

I play the market and keep eyes on prices. Rubedite has went down while Ash has risen I also farm, you see Ash EVERYWHERE! Silk too

yeah I see ppl just running past mats all the time right now and I am not even spending much time in summerset.

Oddly enough I noticed I was low of Sanded Ruby Ash also. Its like stacks just disappeared. I have plenty of everything else.
