So I'm a DK Tank. Last night I popped my Fang Lair cherry and tanked it and won. However, I died a lot on the final boss.
Now I'm even though we won, I want to know what I did wrong and couldn't figure out what was killing me.
It seems all i kept dying by was Biting Cold and some Blight attack.

What am I supposed to do with these effects? I'm confused on how I kept dying by a strong DoT.

Vet? There is a lot to the final boss fight. The green beetles that pop up near you while Tanking the boss are just lovely in Vet. LOL. Roll dodge away from them when they pop up and if you can you may want to use Talons on them. They don't stay active for long. DPS can help and burn them if they know to do so but Crystals are really their priority. When PUGGING that dungeon you are probably on your own as a Tank on that final fight. Stay out of the green, expanding circle the boss puts on the ground, it hurts, a lot in Vet. When the boss fears you and runs up the wall as soon as you see the gold circles on the ground get to one and run over it. Stand on it if you like but not necessary. That removes the instant kill mechanic he put on you seconds before, looks sorta like a skull hitting you. The cold should not be a big deal. Not sure why that is killing you. The Healer should be on the Tank a lot for this fight. You can use Reflective plate if you wish to reflect some of the incoming projectiles but I have not seen the need to on my DK Tank. I don't even know if it works but it has been suggested. Have a look at your Tank's physical and spell resistance values and try to get them around 33.5K buffed or unbuffed if you don't use any buffs. That helps a lot with mitigating damage. Lot more to this fight than I mentioned here.

    Grats on completing the dungeon!

There are quite a few videos on that boss fight with great explanations. Much better than what I wrote here I'm sure. Check out Alcast on his youtube channel. He has a great explanation for that fight and many others. Tanks for the win!

I use reflective plate and absorb magicka quite frequently when tanking that dungeon. I try to keep most of if not all of the biting cold from touching me

When the beetle pops, talons and ash cloud. Dodge the attack from the boss when the beetle comes up. Also, keep on the move and out of the poison. Then make sure someone is calling out ghosts when they appear on a wall (I always miss them, too busy watching everything else). Yeah, but most importantly do not let those beetles touch you.

Just keep reflective plate up, and occasionally absorb Magicka, and you don't even have to block except the scarab attack which you can dodge roll anyway. Tank him in a circle, if you stop moving it's easy to not see the poison (the blight attack) because it will kill you so fast. For the scarabs block it, then talon them and walk away, reflective scales purges the debuff they put on you that makes you slow and take more damage, unless you can get far enough away you usually have to talon them twice before they die. Once you learnt he fight it's a piece of cake, I remember how badly I did my first time in vet, now I never die to anything but the execute ghost wall in HM (which is not clearly defined and I'm keeping that as my excuse).
