How come DLC cost 1500 - 2500 crown but changing a character name cost 2500 crowns xD?

Other sort of things are priced to maximize income for ZoS.
It's fairly reasonably balanced that way - I'd hate to see it the other way 'roundTenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.

Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis -

But its a NAME CHANGE. Dlc's requires a lot of work to put out. A name change is a OPTION. It should only be worth 100 crowns. Thats almost like charging 2500 crowns for changing gears lol -

Really? It should be only 100 crowns? So why not just delete your character and change the name? After all it's FREE to do.
Now no complaining about how long it took you to make this character, or how long you spent making the look or what ever. After all it's free. So delete your character that you spent over 100s or 1000s of hours with. Now that $20 or $30 is not so expensive now is it?
It all depends on how you look at it. I agree it should be 100 crowns, but in the end it's optional and you don't have to do it. After all as I said above you can do that, but now those hours seem to be worth it now all of a sudden.Not my quote but I love this saying

Why would abusing service tokens be a big deal.. I mean changing the look or mistakes on a character cannot be abused lol, seriously.. -

Cheap tokens would lead to increases in casual impersonation and harassment.
At the current prices, they're going to be used for serious character adjustments only because the need has to meet or exceed the cost. Unless you're super-wealthy and super-angry, but support can handle the few cases of those that ever happen.signing off -

i dont want to name chance. i was just strolling through the store and saw that and thought its absurd. TO make a dlc the people working on eso has to do voice, quests, props, stories, etc... its a lot of work. Compared to changing a character name. And i do want to change one of my characters name before because of RP and giving my character a backstory but i wouldnt spend 2500 crowns just to change a name. -
webrgesner✭✭✭✭Warewolf/vamp bite 1500 crowns sounds fair. DLC's sounds fair too. Mounts i could see why its expensive, But cmon man name change 2500? People love customizing toons and for them to charge a lot of crowns for it.

As others have said - DLC are priced for average/many players to buy. Name change? That's priced deliberately high. It's not meant to be something you just do on a whim, not meant to be something that the average player does. It's not some casual "oh, I feel like customizing my character this way this week" thing.
