Sixth House Robe parts; scarce or am I just really unlucky?

Is the drop chance for the Sixth House Robe fragments really really really low compared to similar 'collect all the parts and combine 'em' items, or do I just have abysmal luck?

I've been through the Forgotten Wastes about a dozen times, and gotten one robe piece, total. For comparison, the theodolite pet was super easy to acquire... a quick run through Nchuleftingth just garnered four rolly-ball parts. *heavy sigh*

Just bad luck. For me it was the other way around. Ended up buying the parts for the pet. I sell the robe pieces... Have way too many

People still look for these? I figured the use of the modern version of the "green stamp" had discouraged people from chasing after them.

I'm a Very Old Person - just turned 60 recently - and though I fondly recall being tasked as a child with neatly pasting S&H Green Stamps and Plaid Stamps into redemption books, I'm going to confess I have absolutely no idea what the 'green stamps' analogy is, re ESO. :/

Since I now know it's nothing but bad luck on my part that the fragments aren't dropping, I'll keep plugging away at the dungeon with the hope that the tide eventually changes.

Hmm, I leveled from 25 to 50 in there for a few hours in a week and ended up with a full set. Should give you a estimate of what to expect when farming.

Three runs through it, four robe pieces dropped.
Three of them from the minibosses... either I got lucky, or they have a higher drop rate then the common mobs?

    As for your troubles...
Sacrifice an extra turkey sandwich to the gods of the die roll, maybe? ;)

Find a place with 2+ bosses you can get back and forth to easily in.. I believe it's 3 minutes? Maybe 4. I had my phone doing a stopwatch for the time(I forget if it's 3 or 4) so I wouldn't do it too early and just get a couple gold... And in between I'd kill trash.

It still took hours, but it was the fastest way I found.

Just buy the missing pieces from the guild stores, they are not expensive anymore.

RNGesus is a fickle, and sometimes inebriated companion on these runs. As far as I can tell, the Public Dungeon coupons drop at fairly even rates. The problem is the drop rate is low enough to appear extremely erratic.

I was grindjng a warden to 50 in the public delve. Someone joined me. They were getting pieces left and right. I finally got all but one and had to buy it . It just would not drop. So i grinded a warden all the way to 50 and still didnt get all the pieces.

Thats with this other person giving me two pieces .

So rng sucksssas a lot of times.

You don't get your prize until you paste together a collection of bits and parts, which you have to obtain by running around until you earn one. It's like buying things to collect those **** stamps and pasting them in the **** booklet until you had enough of them to buy the thing.

Ah. Okay... though I actually think trading stamps were more like today's 'rewards points' from credit cards and retailers. (And really, the whole 'chasing all the pieces' thing reminds me more of trying to assemble a set of dinnerware by buying soap powder and hoping the random dish in the box was one you needed.*shrug*)

And since (a) my initial query has been answered, and (b) I've since given up on the frustrating chase, and (c) this thread is now dangerously off-topic, if a moderator can close or remove the discussion, that would be super. (And 'thank you!' to everyone who offered advice!)

Just bad luck, but they should be cheap as hell to buy.
