The siege masters of Vivec and Shor have learned from their counterparts in Sotha Sil, and all siege weapons will be more effective against players in Champion enabled Campaigns.
Developer Comment:
Siege damage over the years has tailed off in terms of raw output when comparing CP vs. No-CP campaigns. Siege in Non-CP campaigns deal damage that more closely resembles the original design and intent of Siege weaponry. The changes we’re doing to Siege damage in Champion-enabled campaigns result in closer parity between CP and Non-CP Siege damage.
It has been like that on Sotha Sil since forever. Although the new Scattershot/Meatbag Combo has reached nuclear fallout level there now.

I don't have exact numbers, but on live in Vivec I get hit by about 3100 damage from a fire balista.
On PTS, with same defensive CP, I get hit for 4200ish from a fire balista.
At first I thought maybe it's ignoring my CP in CP now... nope. When you take your CP out it does even more damage.
This seems to be approx 35% damage increase to siege... just in case the current scattershot catapaults weren't OP enough LOL...
Can other people please test siege damage and post your results to double check?... I really hope I'm wrong.

- Update 23Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus
what would be the perfect siege build for the pvp event? Just asking for a friend.
2xskoria+5xsloads+5?

Elf bane gives extra 2 seconds on fire damage, should work on cold fire balistas as well. Sloads proc from sieges, but vicious death does too. Skoria is fine I guess. Nereineth or however its pronounced should work fine too.
Getting hit in the head with a treb / ballista etc probably would really hurt in real life right.
And in game you get an almighty red circle appear warning you to block / roll / ward / move.
People dont like change, but personally things being more realistic, is better.
Sure it slows play, makes it more tactical etc but that's a good thing than just zerging everywhere.
Vivec is already a zergy nightmare right now and everybody is playing twister with lingering siege damage. People are rapidly losing any interest in that stupid gameplay, pact isn't even poplocked anymore at 11pm CEST.
It's just sad.
The tests with this thread are with a fire ballista, has anyone tested with a scattershot to see if the damage increase is consistent or if they tweaked each item individually?
Fire ballistas are basically useless in vivec right now, especially weak.
So you chose to play CP campaign. Then some super wise whatever decide you should fight vet level NPCs, for reasons unknown to sober ppl. And seems that was not enough, since next thing is buffing sieges in CP campaigns to same lelevs they hit ppl in nonCP. What is wrong with person who had idea this is good change? If we wanted to play non CP we would play non CP! Stop doing stupid changes no one asked for and fix things that are broken!
Let's hope that the current state in no CP is not ZOS' vision of interesting keep battles, and that we will get some tweaks in the future now that a broader player base is affected.
