Mend wounds annoyances

So I love this new skill, it’s one of the best things to happen to healers in the game in a while if you ask me. It is really useful and fun to use; however it doesn’t only target players. In dungeons when people are getting in the way of you healing someone with this skill you almost have to rely on your other heals, but what’s even worse is that pets and npcs can get in the way of this skill too. Can we please make it so it can only target players? Healing someone’s bear or imp is a pain in the butt when I’m trying to have fun with this heal...

5 of us once made a pentagram with the heavy version xD good times!

You know what I also love is timestop, not the no cast time one (because adds get out!) but the other - in most dungeons you (healer) can immobilise almost all mobs till the dps have killed them.

    Outdamnstanding!

So much so, imma use it on my tank, I trash heavy dungeons, as an AOE snare.

Yeah, it would be nice to have it be a little less clunky. In theory it is a great skill. In practice though, I can't really find a good use for it (in PvE at least), which is a shame because it is sooooooo damn pretty. I would personally like for the toggle activation time to be removed and perhaps to have the light attack have a "splash" effect for nearby allies so it's not such a chore to HoT up everybody.

Yeah, im finding it hard to apply the ability, not physically, but effectively. Warden and nb healers absolutely dont need it because of funnel health and lotus. Sorc and dk healers get the most mileage out of it. Templar healers can go either eay with it honestly.

Giving up your light weaves, not a good trade. The skill was added to help certian healers with tertiary healing that doesnt hit the magicka so hard. For example DKs between ingeous sheilds, cauterize and shard mend wounds helps them sustain in periods where only light healing is needed, same with sorcs. It serves as a psuedo analgoue to rapid regen but does make the cut because it doesnt benefit from resto staff passives. Personally, reduce the tool tip values and have the skill convert your light and heavies into a smart cast hot for your lights and a conal aoe burst for your heavies. Make the client side changes to allow certain on attack effects to trigger from this skill such as weapon glyphs, and update certain skills to read as when you successfully complete a light or heavy attack vs when you deal damage with a light or heavy attack.

Not to mention a lot of people who do not understand the combay system mistakingly assume the skill is clunky and slow, when in reaility the skill converts your light attacks into an actual spell that obeys the GCD, and converts your heavy into a channeled skill that also obeys the GCD. The ability isnt clunky, it just removes the ability to light attack weave.

The tooltip is rather lackluster and could use some extra explanation- it reads like it REPLACES your light and heavy attacks, but instead disables them, using the buttons for some other skill.

But that aside, I still find the skill noticeably slower than, say, mutagen.

Just wish we could use it on ourselves and that the morphs weren't half assed bonuses.
