Wrothgar daily bosses/quests

Let me explain. A group of fellow adventurers was kind enough to invite me to clear some world bosses in Wrothgar. The first two quests went fine, but when I got back to the tavern to turn in the second one: No more.

I couldn't pick one myself (no more quests available apparently, with four bosses remaining), and another quest (the mad ogre) shared by someone in my group never found its way into my journal. I couldn't accept it. I helped them get rid of the big hairy guy anyway, and comes the time for one fella of the group to share another one. I can accept it. We manage to complete it, and, back to the tavern, still no quests available. I did Zan, Cori and Poachers in the end (since Mad Ogre's quest sharing didn't work). So, what happened? With three bosses left, how could I not pick another daily?

Each character has their own individual rotation of daily quests. The rotation is the same for all characters but the start points are different. This means that you can group with other players and share quests but it also means that other players can be on the same rotation. Most likely, the last boss you did prior to noticing that you could not pick up a daily was in fact the boss that you would have been given had you picked the quest up yourself.

I didn't check which one I had available before beginning the rotation, since I was far away from the daily job giver. But I'm pretty sure that at some point in the game I accepted a shared quest that was the same as my daily one, and it just swapped to another one. Or am I remembering this wrong and is this not possible?

Here's the order

Wrothgar
Delves
Parts of the Whole > Getting a Bellyfull > Free Spirits > Skin Trade > Skin Trade / Fire In the Hold > Breakfast of the Bizzare > Repeat

Notes: some delves have to be unlocked first.

World Bosses
Nature’s Bounty > Heresy of Ignorance > Snow and Steam > Reeking of Foul Play > Meat for the Masses > Scholarly Salvage > Repeat

Also, dailies reset at 2am ET. If you collect one after that time you can't collect the same one in that same 24hr period.
